My long-awaited combination Christmas and Birthday finally arrived at the airport... a ride in a WWII era T-6G aircraft.
This was a half hour flight flying over an area SE of Modesto. With the pilot passing instructions through the headset, I was able to take the controls and fly the plane.
The pilot took us through a barrel-roll (dipping left and completing a 360 degree roll). Then he offered me the opportunity to repeat the manuever which I accepted.
Next came a "loop" - 360 degree circle. After managing to get my stomach back in its rightful place, I declined the offer to fly us through another loop.
Back to the airport and neither one of us earned the nickname "Crash". It's been two days and I'm still having problems wiping the smile off my face.
WOW ..... Sounds like an awesome experience DD.
Thank you for sharing the pictures.
