The big story this morning is President Bush's remarks to the Israeli Knesset invoking the example of Hitler to warn against the appeasement of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. In the opening segment, from Mika Brzezinski [subbing for Joe Scarborough and seen in file photo] to Willie Geist to Pat Buchanan to Mike Barnicle to David Shuster, nary a word in defense of Bush was heard, with Shuster twice referring to Bush's remarks as "grotesque." The only slight straying from Bush-bashing orthodoxy was Barnicle's observation that when he first heard of the remarks, he took them as aimed at Jimmy Carter, not Barack Obama.
A show purporting to have any semblance of balance would surely have a defender, if not of Bush, then at least of John McCain [who has reacted approvingly to Bush's comments] as a subsequent guest on today's show. Well, here's the guest lineup that Mika announced:
* Bill Richardson--Obama endorser * Joe Biden--who has called Bush's remarks "bull----" * Susan Rice--Obama foreign policy advisor * Jonathan Alter--liberal pundit and occasional Olbermann sidekick

Fair and balanced, Morning Joe style. Ping to Today show list.
Typical MSNBC banter......this is the same “News” network that uses Keith Overbite as a debate and Primary host...........do me a favor people, and use the clicker.
Why should I watch it? It’s NBC after all. Phooey.
The remark could've easily been made at Jimmuh Carter instead of b. Hussein Obama, but Obama may know he is an appeaser just the same.
John Bolton pointed out that Pres. Bush's rhetoric is excellent on this matter, but he is sabotaged by the State Dept. and Condi Rice is now captured by State Dept. nonsense, too.
I hear you, but like my tagline says . . .
I am listening to this. They sound like crazy people.
Bush elevated Obama to the presidential level!!! Give me a break.
Typical MSM balance: 4 libs and zero conservatives.
Affraid I'll have to correct you here, its 3 liberals and a former ‘conservative’ turned media whore. There...thats better!
What did refusing to talk to a head of state ever accomplish? Did Cuba, North Korea, or Iran change its ways because Bush refused to talk with them? With the comment about Hitler’s appeasement, was Bush trying to say that if he had talked to North Korea, he was afraid he would have broken down and told them they could have South Korea? I don’t understand this fear of talking to the ruling government of any country, unless you are afraid your leader is a complete idiot.
I’m listening to John Gambling on WOR radio...
I have never seen such a narcissistic individual as Mika holding court on that show. After two months my stomach could take no more and my eyes and ears could not believe her literally storm troopering through each and every topic.
This is no way to start the day - ugly ugly stuff. The guests serve only as her props - and Joe? A Joke.
I didn’t get the impression he was talking about heads of state. Rather it was “terrorists and radicals.” Maybe the head (I forgot his actual title) of Iran qualifies as that, but I don’t think he was talking about nations with whom we disagree, e.g. Cuba.
But simply “talking” to Hamas et al. and thinking that that will make them stop killing innocents and plotting to kill even more doesn’t have a very a good track record.
Hussein knows what he is. The great fear of the moon bat left is that Americans will learn what he is. They know if appeasement becomes part of what is accepted as Husseins character he is a dead man walking.
I had the same thoughts when I saw this lineup this morning. Pat Buchanan was the lone voice in opposition to all these whiners. President Bush’s speech could not only been leveled against JimmCarter, but also Nancy Pelosi who visted Assad.
First Buchanan is an anti semite. Dems are not upset with the words as much as they are scared of losing the the jewish vote in Florida.
I'm watching the local news...the weather lady is a total babe.
