CHATSWORTH Authorities Thursday were investigating a beating and possible sexual assault involving three women and as many as ten suspects in a Chatsworth park, according to police.
Detectives were sent to Mason Park, at Mason Avenue and Devonshire Street, about 10:40 a.m., said Los Angeles police Officer Kate Lopez of the Media Relations Section.
Police say there were three victims who were transported to an area hospital.
At the time police found the victims they were reportedly unconscious.
Witnesses said at least one of the women was sexually assaulted as well.
Investigators also say they have two suspects in custody with at least 5-8 more at large.
Chatsworth High Principal Tim Guy says the three women were students at his school and further added, in a statement released through LAUSD, that they were "under the influence of an unknown substance" at the time of the attack.
He also said, "Our campus is calm and secure." He took the opportunity of the attack to remind parents, "school is the safest place for [your child.] Additionally, it is critical that students report to school at their assigned start time."

Let me guess. Marines. Right, Keith Olbermann?
An eyewitness says one of the victims appeared to be "very young".
Riiiiight.
The video report is more in line with that
Watching Alan Colmes try to spin this with Newt Gingrich. This is soooo rich and I’m enjoying every second of it.
Isn't that how gooberment skools are paid? By the head of sheep that cross the doorway before the bell rings?

McCain’s response was pretty good too... better than that speech he gave today. He asked, what exactly is it he wants to talk to Achmed-nijad about? What does he want to say to him?
Ooops, I’m responding to the wrong thread. Apologies and mea culpas.
I’d bet the house that the perps will turn out to be Hispanic gang bangers..........maybe even enrolled at Chatsworth High and simply masquerading as students.
Yeah but it sounds like that was a pretty interesting thread!
Local TV news isn't about journalism. It's about getting video ahead of the other channels, for a story that has sizzle, like young girls being attacked by a gang.
What thread is that, sounds more interesting than this one.
I will forgive you if you give me a dollar.
So, let me try to understand the MSM double-speak here.
When 20 year old minority gang bangers kill each other off, they are referred to as “children” or “youths” or “teens”. But when 3 white teenage girls attending Chatsworth High School are molested and assaulted, they are referred to as “women”.
NOPE. No clue why they are calling young teenage girls women. Can’t break the MSM code... They’ve got me. I’m stumped. I don’t know what they are trying to achieve by lying again this time and trying to make us think these are older women and not 15-18 year old girls. Soften the blow against the gang-banger predators to make them seem like they aren’t such bullies? I don’t know. I can’t figure this one out, calling 16 year old girls “women”. I just know the MSM has their agenda, but can’t find the specifics in this particular lie.

“Well, there was a girl in there who was very young and completely intoxicated to the point of she’s knocked out and laying there half naked from her lower area up was completely nude so it didn’t take a genius to figure out what happened there. We just didn’t know if it was one or more,” the witness said.
So, since when is a “girl in there who was very young” a woman? The MSM has me more baffled every day. I just know they are communist-loving evil petulant scum who want to destroy every single thing I value, that’s all...
and for him to sermonize about getting to school on time bs....that could have been done another day....
