I need to consider a retirement from FR, it’s just so damn depressing these days.
To: Texican72
Although our energy needs are ever-growing, construction of nuclear power plants is not keeping pace not one has come online in the last 30 years.
This fact, more than any other, shows the decades-long failure of the REPUBLICAN Party. Failure to seize on an important issue and lift both party and country out of the mire of liberal swamp-think.

I will not vote for this guy under any circumstances that I can imagine. I will take my one little vote and go third party. I cannot support him. The list is too long.
Keating Five
McCain/Feingold
Gang of 14
Amnesty
He nearly jumped parties twice: 2001 (Jeffords beat him to it) and 2004. He seriously listened to Kerry’s pitch about VP.
No bleedin’ way.

Add to that his GW Hoax position, and I too cannot vote for him. This from one who has voted for every Republican presidential candidate since I could vote.

300 million people in this country and we’re left with a Militant Black Radical/Communist, Socialist and a Liberal to vote for in the two major parties. The conservatives have been labeled kooks and/or marginalized to third parties. What a sad state of affairs.
To: Baynative
The only thing I can figure on this is that McCains handlers are betting that true conservatives would NEVER let Obama be elected so they are hedging their bet by letting him pander to the wacked out Gore disciples.
I can't think of a more insipid strategy for the GOP to run a campaign than by hoping people will vote against their opponent instead of for their candidate if your statement is true.

But even if acid rain were a genuine environmental problem and studies leading up to the 1990 law cast significant doubt controlling sulfur dioxide emissions is many orders of magnitude easier than controlling greenhouse gas emissions. This is exactly correct.
Sulfur doesn't need to be in fuel, carbon does.
John Sidney McCain.
I'm (with GLACIAL relcutance, sorta prepared to vote for you.
My excuses are I don't want Marxists on the Supremes, and I don't want my health care confiscated for re-distribution to illegals.
However.
YOU are making this decision increasingly difficult.
Snap out of it, and pretend to be a REPUBLICAN, okay?

I'm not hearing too much from Duncan Hunter. I imagine he can't be too happy with global warming loving McAmnesty.

I know how you feel. Especially with McQueeg's followers swooping upon you every time you voice the opinion that he's not earned your vote.
It's pretty depressing not having a candidate in this election. It's also liberating in a way.

The three reactors of the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, west of Phoenix, came online in the 1980's.
