House GOP unveils 'change' agenda for fall (change from closet libs to openly lib)
CNN ^ | 5/14/2008 | Ed Hornick

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sensing trouble in the fall, the House GOP leadership on Wednesday addressed recent losses in special Congressional elections by unleashing a new agenda aimed at changing that party's image.

House Republican leaders pushed the retooled message, which they call "Change You Deserve."

They rolled out the first version Wednesday, which focuses on working mothers and military families.

"This agenda is a reflection of House Republicans' commitment to providing American families with the change they deserve: common-sense solutions to the challenges they face in their daily lives," according to the agenda provided to CNN.

"Today's families face challenges that yesterday's laws don't address. Sixty percent of mothers with children under are 6 are now working outside the home. The majority of families have not one parent working but both parents working."

The agenda goes on to argue that laws need to be changed to provide American families with "more freedom in their jobs; greater health care and retirement security; safer communities; access to quality, affordable education; and the ability for future generations to compete in the global economy."

If I knew everthing..I wouldnt be hanging around with all you guys...I’d be on my own island bristleing with anti-aircraft guns with my toes in the sand watching my children play without care.

A man after me own heart. :) Sounds like paradise to me.

Right now I see my country on the raod to hell...and two parties fighting over who gets to hit the gas peddle.

Again, we are in agreement. It's going to h3ll in a hand basket no matter who's driving the bus.

I want to know if FALCON is legit...

I hope it is because it looks like a party we will want to support.

I trust him as well.

I'll be sure to ignore the knuckleheads.

But what will do going forward is remove the screening of registered, legit folks’ comments. That will probably happen in a month or so.

Good. :)

I fill out Polling Points questionnaires weekly. I’ll start putting in The Falcon Party instead of Republican.

Sounds like a bunch of BS without specifics.

I looked for specifics, couldn't find any. Apparently this is all drivel from incompetent hacks. The "Contract with America" in 1994 was a model for effective platforming. I wonder why the GOP never used it again. Probably because it worked so well.

I couldn't find any beef for this "agenda" but I did discover there is a "suburban caucus" among house republicans. They have some really radical proposals, like a college savings plan for kids, internet screens for libraries, heavy stuff that will really move this nation.

Sheesh. We're screwed.

As I’ve posted multiple times in the past, the Socialist Left has hijacked the old Liberal Democrat Party, and are now infiltrating the Republican Party.

The orphaning of Conservatism today, and redefining of the meaning of Conservatism tomorrow, and to ultimately eliminate for the future that what we deem as Conservatism today is the goal.

The only way to combat the takeover entirely of our Government functions by the Socialist Left is to flush the Congressional bowl. Pull the chain at least three election cycles consecutively until we have truly concerned and Constitutionally aware REPRESENTATION instead of the clique of Professional Political Lifers that have grown like mold in a glass petri dish in Dave Barry’s refrigerator, but inside Washington D.C. over the generations.

Our Government today is of a different World than our own.

What's wrong?

You don't think "We won't bankrupt the country quite as quickly as the Democrats" is a winning slogan?

Why not? It worked with Kali "conservatives" who argued and voted for Anuhld, and with McCain supporters here at FR.
