Lawyer wants change of venue for woman charged in deadly school bus crash (MN illegal update)

The lawyer for Olga Marina Franco del Cid wants a change of venue. Manuel Guerrero filed notice with the Lyon County District Court Administrator's office.

Franco is charged with four counts of criminal vehicular homicide for the deaths of four students on February 19.

Prosecutors say Franco was driving a minivan on Lyon County Road 24. According to the complaint, she blew through a stop sign and hit the bus. Franco apparently doesn't have a driver's license.

Immigration and Customs Exchange officials also say Franco is in the country illegally and used a false identity while in the U.S.

During recent hearings, Franco claims she was not the driver of the van. Franco says her boyfriend was behind the wheel and the force of the crash threw him out of the vehicle. She says her boyfriend has not been seen since the day of the crash.

Franco also faces multiple counts of criminal vehicular injury for the students hurt in the crash. She also faces federal charges of identity theft, false representation of a Social Security number and use of a false document for employment eligibility.

If she is in fact guilty, the best thing can happen to her at this point is to get a change of venue - back to her home country. This is one illegal immigrant that I hope doesn’t get deported - until after after her legal procedures are over and she’s finished any sentence she might be given. Best wishes to the families of the kids involved in the accident, and to her kids too if she has some.

What's even more humerous is her testimony. Watch the video. She claims she stopped at the stop sign. When she began moving the bus lurched forward and hit her.

Now take a look at the bus after the wreck:



This dumb woman actually expects someone to belielve that a school bus ended up like this after it ran into a smaller car--that it just flipped over. One thing is for sure: Mexico ain't sending us its best or its brightest.

Lock her up for a few decades. This woman needs to lose her right to reproduce.
