AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, and Doctor of Democracy. He is the man who runs America. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).
There goes the economy.
Say goodnight America.
“Ready to do the Lord’s work”? Democrats? HA!!!
That’s a good one.
This one has become quite an argument. At least the name calling has been, mostly, absent.
Don't have sound at work...I'll watch it at home tonight.
When is Rush going to sell ‘Rinnai Tankless Water Heater’ and ‘AB Steaks’ TShirts??
More like Satan's Shock Troops, if you ask me!
I already tend to think of them as the "Demoncrats". Pfft!
LOL. I just knew you were going to be a newbie.
Yes, the argument—except for the occasional rudeness from a surprising source—has been excellent in my opinion. Your posts are among the finest.
I enjoy satire, but not so sure if Rush is truly using satire. He sounds so sincere and ardent. But, perhaps, that is one of his great talented gifts.
Uh oh....does this thread need a group hug?

“He sounds so sincere and ardent. But, perhaps, that is one of his great talented gifts. “
Think about it there are two choices; 1) Rush has flipped and just loves the clintons; 2) he is using satire to just enjoy the daylights out of their current problems.
Please phrase your answer in the form of a question:

I am simply trying to explain my vote. I am not trying to convert others, though, I suppose, my discussion could be taken that way.
a) beyond silly. Even if he says this, I don't believe him; even if I believed him, he couldn't do it by destroying the Republican base.
b) even if he actually said it, meant it, and could do it, that alone would not make me vote for him. If it means sacrificing every other conservative principle, it is no gain. I'm not a single issue voter. By watch my fortune telling come true. (Actually, I predict Obama will win).
I remember a lot of people at the time being upset with him for pardoning Nixon, and not all Dems. It may not have come up in the debates, but it was an issue. That and Jerry’s inability to figure out where Poland was. Hey, maybe he and Obama can get together. Between them, one knows what language is spoken in Afghanistan, and the other probably knows where Poland is!
Yes, and that goes for his childhood mentor, an unrepentant communinist named Frank Marshall Davis. Accuracy in Media's Kliff Kincaid wrote a piece on Davis that includes the following tidbits:
Barack Obamas childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Moscow-controlled Communist Party USA, wrote a poem dedicated to the Soviet Red Army. Smash on, victory-eating Red Army, he declared. He also wrote poems attacking traditional Christianity and the work of Christian missionaries.Anyway, don't know if you had seen this, just thought I'd cite it for others. The whole article by Kincaid can be read here: OBAMA'A RED MENTOR PRAISED RED ARMY.
The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where he developed his close relationship, almost like a son, with Davis, and listened to his poetry and views.
...He said that Davis called college an advanced degree in compromise, warned Obama not to forget his people, and not to start believing what they tell you about equal opportunity and the American way and all that ####.
[Comment: This is exactly what is preached at Trinity United. Pastor Wright and Michelle Obama are simply alter egos of Obama. They spew publically what Obama has thought privately since his high school years.]
But in the same way that he fails to identify Frank as Frank Marshall Davis, Obama says nothing about the nature of this poetry. However, Tidwell says that several of Davis poems were viewed as subversive by the FBI and that they help explain why it monitored his activities. Tidwell says the FBI maintained a file on Davis.
The O-man has communism in his genes. He took it in with his "mother's milk" as they say. He is a very scary dude. I am amazed that people let their pique at McCain obscure this. Hell, no one is happy with McCain in any absolute sense, but the alternative isn't Hillary or Bubba, two relatively moderate democraps. Obama is a hard core socialist in the literal sense of that term.
For example, in the Republic Plato lists what are good governing qualities of leaders. The answer is that rulers should be those persons who always keep before them the interests of the community as a whole, rather than their own self-interest.
This is why John Adams and others were hesitant about political parties and also why the President was given so many powers. In any case, it was ssumed that one would govern for everyone and not just for narrow, parochial party interests.
I recognize that even after almost 2500 years, this idea is foreign to the majority of voters. But it remains a great guide. And, remember, if and when, Senator McCain becomes President McCain, he is President of the United States and not a narrow "real conservative" constituency.
The funny thing is I’m wondering if Clinton is still a commie. Bill wasn’t; he was pretty much an ideological agnostic. I think most of the socialism from him was more or less driven by going with the flow. Clearly HC was indoctrinated as a yute but I wonder now. If some strange thing happened and she did end up in the White House I bet it would be all about the money, her money. They are pretty rich but not stinking rich just yet and I bet that is the plan. This nomination has to be worth at least 3-4 hundred million.
