What!? Has someone told McCain he needs the vote of the people who look like extras for the show "My Name is Earl" in order to win this election? The absolute worse thing McCain could do is select Huckster for any position at all.

Well I dunno about the worst thing, but it’s not a bright idea at all. I was thinking that he’ll pick Algore.

Why not nominate Kennedy? McKennedy - er - McCain has done just about everything that he can to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The Republicans are doomed. We may as well prepare for the upcoming revolution and hope that something useful can rise from the ashes.

McCain/Huckabee would be the nail in the coffin for me, I simply would not vote.

McCain has a political history of seizing defeat from the jaws of victory. This move would certainly ensure I voted third party.

If McCain thinks the pander bear Huckster is the best man for the job after himself- and if he thinks that the independents he is courting as his constituency think the Huckster and he make a strong team to lead the free world- then John McCain has a serious disconnect with American and historical reality.
The only tragedy of his losing the Presidency and once and for all us being done with his ego- is the tregedy of who we Americans end with as an alternative.

There sure are a lot of sources saying this, at least four since I saw the first article yesterday. I tend to think that means it is untrue.

Unless the race is very tight in November, I’m finding harder and harder to come up with a reason to vote at all.

God help us. Huckabee is nothing more nor less than a large steaming pile left behind by a horse.

Let’s hope it’s just a lot of smoke and mirrors.
Huckabee? Why not Bullwinkle the Mooose?

I would vote for the best candidates, down the line on remainder of ballot but would write in someone for President.
The Huckster still scares hell out of me.
