"A chemistry teacher calls her "phenomenal."
I once took an education class at Cal-State San Bernardino. The professor was making excuses for why some students in certain cultural groups don’t do well in school. I asked her why Asian immigrants can come here speaking no English and a year later be getting A’s and other groups can’t seem to pull that off. Her reply: “Now you’re blaming the victim!”

I am so proud of America.
1. That people from all over the world want to come HERE.
2. That they have the opportunity to succeed, even excel, when they get here.
God bless her.
So, you didn’t get an answer?
What an uplifting story for a Monday morning. And although she is obviously a very bright young woman, I think a lot of her success stems simply from her appreciation of what opportunities are open to her in this country and her willingness to take advantage of it. Why can’t the grievance mongers among the liberals see the tremendous damage they are doing to our youth by denigrating this country and its advantages? (I’m asking a rhetorical question. I do know the answer.)
My husband was a Chemistry wiz in highschool too. He had three years of it and was the first student to place out of freshman chemistry at his college. He is also a “Na”! I just read this story to him. He had never noticed his relation to sodium.
Cute kid. Good for her!!!
Good for her.
This is a typical Vietnamese success story. These folks are going to save our nation they’re more American (in terms of values) than most Euros. We live on the periphery of our city’s Little Saigon, and greatly value our Vietnamese neighbors.
Did you see her left knee jerk when she spouted that?
A phenomenal student does not justify a bad system.
This is one young lady who will be successful, due to hard work and a willing attitude to learn.
