Sounds to me like Communist Party USA thinks Obama is the man who will deliver the 'bloodless revolution'.

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA):
"We are a party of unity in action. We are an integral part of every struggle and movement for change to eliminate poverty and joblessness, against racism and for full equality. We are participants, initiators and leaders of every movement to make life better now and much better in a socialist future." Yeah, so they supported an oppressive dictator, like the Repubs and Democrats haven't? The CP is still around, has apologized for that whole Stalin thing, and has a quickly growing youth section.

He’s got Al Qaeda’s and Hamas’ endorsement, might as well get the commie vote too.
They threw Angela Davis under the bus?
Of course not...
It’s true. We do not endorse Obama or any other presidential candidate.

Davis was president of CPUSA some time ago, but has not been for some time now. Odd it’s not listed on her resume now that she’s a tenured professor.
Amazon Book Review:
"Vastly Illuminating!" September 25, 2004
By Kat Bakhu
"I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book.
It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia.
Individual chapters are included on the Patriot Act (I was persuaded that it is a GOOD thing); the democratic flip-flop on Iraq once G.W. Bush implemented what they agreed with Clinton needed to be done; the driving components of the current anti-war movement; as well as chapters on individual personalities who are major spokespeople of the Left. Horowitz covers a lot of ground, and he covers it concisely and clearly. Unholy Alliance is richly informative without ever being boring or plodding.
This book is so illuminating that I simply cannot do justice to it here. I love people who reason so clearly that they help me get my own reasoning clear. Horowitz is just that type of person! In the terrain of mindless clichés (no-blood-for-oil, etc.), he is a breath of real fresh air."

Thanks for the more direct link, but I wanted to link to it on the Communist Party USA page because it isn't immediately clear on that other website that it is a magazine of the Communist Party. One would have to snoop around the site a bit and some here might not do that. Of course there is that large red star, but not everyone here would know what that meant (younger FReepers, etc). In any case, that page you linked to is a lot more informative and revealing, so thanks again.
And you think because they don't openly endorse Obama that they don't actually want him to win? Or that his "change" movement isn't really part of a communist movement? Or that HE isn't the reason they are encouraging young people to "Revolt with a Vote". They know perfectly well that an open endorsement from them would ruin his chances, so they beat around the bushes. Look up the phrase "useful idiot".
OBAMA—— The Manchurian Candidate
Exactly. They'll side with the devil as long he is an enemy of the US. Other than their hatred of freedom and ruthless brutality, they really have nothing in common, i.e., Communists are not religious fanatics. (unless you consider Marxism a religion)
Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to
prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that
seemed delightfully uncalculated [...], Mr. Obama described the
call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at
sunset."

It's hard to say what Obama is...
It's no accident Obama embraced Jeremiah Wright's Black Liberation "church". Or that he's 'friendy' with the communist revolutionary/terrorist, Bill Ayers.
From "45 Communist Goals":
#27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion.

The Real Story Behind Rev. Wright's Controversial Black Liberation Theology Doctrine
Monday , May 5, 2008
FoxNews/Hannity's America
[special Friday night edition--original airdate May 2, 2008]
(some key excerpts)
REV. BOB SCHENCK, NATIONAL CLERGY COUNCIL: "it's based in Marxism. At the core of his [Wright's] theology is really an anti-Christian understanding of God, and as part of a long history of individuals who actually advocate using violence in overthrowing those they perceive to be oppressing them, even acts of murder have been defended by followers of liberation theology. That's very, very dangerous."
SCHENCK: "I was actually the only person escorted to Dr. Wright. He asked to see me, and I simply welcomed him to Washington, and then I said Dr. Wright, I want to bring you a warning: your embrace of Marxist liberation theology. It is contrary to the Gospel, and you need, sir, to abandon it. And at that he dropped the handshake and made it clear that he was not in the mood to dialogue on that point."
JOSE DIAZ-BALART, TELEMUNDO NETWORK: "Liberation theology in Nicaragua in the mid-1980's was a pro-Sandinista, pro-Marxist, anti-U.S., anti-Catholic Church movement. That's it. No ifs, ands, or buts. His church apparently supported, in the mid-'80s in Nicaragua, groups that supported the Sandinista dictatorships and that were opposed to the Contras whose reason for being was calling for elections. That's all I know. I was there.
I saw the churches in Nicaragua that he spoke of, and the churches were churches that talked about the need for violent revolution and I remember clearly one of the major churches in Managua where the Jesus Christ on the altar was not Jesus Christ, he was a Sandinista soldier, and the priests talked about the corruption of the West, talked about the need for revolution everywhere, and talked about 'the evil empire' which was the United States of America."

Obama's Church: Gospel of Hate
Kathy Shaidle, FrontPageMag.com
Monday, April 07, 2008
In March of 2007, FOX News host Sean Hannity had engaged Obamas pastor in a heated interview about his Churchs teachings. For many viewers, the ensuing shouting match was their first exposure to "Black Liberation Theology"...
Like the pro-communist Liberation Theology that swept Central America in the 1980s and was repeatedly condemned by Pope John Paul II, Black Liberation Theology combines warmed-over 1960s vintage Marxism with carefully distorted biblical passages. However, in contrast to traditional Marxism, it emphasizes race rather than class. The Christian notion of "salvation" in the afterlife is superseded by "liberation" on earth, courtesy of the establishment of a socialist utopia.

Bill Ayers, TODAY, April 6, 2008, from his own red communist star-headed website, begging to debate communism vs capitalism with Sean Hannity and calling for communist revolution in America! Yet Hannity, O'Reilly, Limbaugh and nearly every other conservative commentator FAILS to mention that these people were and still are revolutionary communists. Instead, they describe them as simply "domestic terrorists". Seems nearly everyone these days is afraid to use the 'C' word! Even in this extremely rare case where one of them actually admits it.
Bill Ayers, April 6, 2008:
"Imperialism. Im against it, and if Sean Hannity and others were honest, this is the ground they would fight me on. Capitalism played its role historically and is exhausted as a force for progress: built on exploitation, theft, conquest, war, and racism, capitalism and imperialism must be defeated and a world revolutiona revolution against war and racism and materialism, a revolution based on human solidarity and love, cooperation and the common good must win.
We begin by releasing our most hopeful dreams and our most radical imaginations: a better world is both possible and necessary.

Note: Ayers is very likely quoting Bob Avakian, chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party, with the phrase 'both possible and necessary' in regards to a communist overthrow of the US government. See these Yahoo search results for "bob avakian" + "possible and necessary"--Eye On The Left
"In July 1969, Bernardine Dohrn [Ayers' co-terrorist wife], Eleanor Raskin, Dianne Donghi, Peter Clapp, David Millstone and Diana Oughton, all representing 'Weatherman', as Dohrn's faction was now called, traveled to Cuba and met with representatives of the North Vietnamese and Cuban governments."

From David Horowitz's FrontPageMag.com/DiscoverTheNetworks.org:
"FBI files from 1976, recently made public under the Freedom of Information Act, confirm the connections between Weatherman, Havana, and Moscow. Weatherman leaders like Mark Rudd traveled illegally to Havana in 1968 to engage in terrorist training. There, camps set up by Soviet KGB Colonel Vadim Kotchergine were educating Westerners both in Marxist philosophy and urban warfare."

"[Bernardine] Dohrn plea-bargained to charges of inciting to mob action and resisting police officers. She was sentenced to three years' probation and a $1,500 fine. Ayers was not charged. Even then he showed a way with words:
'Guilty as hell, free as a birdAmerica is a great country,' he [Ayers] said."
August 2001, Chicago Magazine (article: No Regrets)
Angela Davis the murderer-enabler and bomb-thrower was expelled from the CP,USA for not toeing the Moscow line.
She argued at the time that she was a more pure communist fir it, and formed along with Manning Marable the “Committees of Correspondence”, a cynical ripoff of the 18th century American Revolutionary group of the same name.
Davis is a worthless dirtbag leftie with tenure, like so many sixties radicals. Sheer poison to the minds of our young people.
Thanks for that.
I had thought that she was the president of CPUSA but I can find nothing confirming or refuting that.
The current vice chair of Communist Party USA (Judith LeBlanc) is cochair of the "anti-war" coalition, United for Peace and Justice. She shares the position with Leslie Cagan, a longtime supporter of communist causes and a devoted admirer of Fidel castro. Cagan's also the founder of Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism. The CCDS is an offshoot of CPUSA. Every other major "peace" coalition was similarly founded by a communist organization. International A.N.S.W.E.R. and Troops Out Now, by Workers World Party. World Can't Wait--Drive Out the Bush Regime and Not In Our Name, by the Revolutionary Communist Party.
And they "cling" to their guns and religion too!
