John McCain, a Not So Favorable Retrospective (Heavy Graphics)

Oh my God, I did that?
Anyone got a barf bag?

Just so you know, John is willing to sacrifice himself...

Well, no full accounting for our men MIA, but least we have normalized relations with Vietnam...

July 11, 1995, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., (right), and Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., (center),
gave President Bill Clinton, (left), the valuable political cover he needed to remove the U.S.
imposed trade embargo against communist Vietnam.  All major U.S. veterans organizations,
the two POW/MIA family groups, and the majority of Vietnamese Americans in this country
opposed Clinton's lifting of the embargo.

Didn't their service, POW status, torture and devotion to duty deserve as much respect as John's?  Evidently not.

We still don't have a full accounting for men a number of whom were seen alive by other POWs after shoot down or incarceration.

Look, we are 219 posts down in this thread and you want me to explain what this tread was all about for me. The sheer volume of my comments to this point would make it silly for me to try to start all over just for you. How long would that post have to be?

I was courteous to you. I expressed what I mean to. That should have been enough.

I'm sure we'll discuss this matter again over the next six months.

You've already responded all you need to respond.

Those I wish to have addressed have already seen my posts. They will judge you and me accordingly.

That you think you're too busy to respond to my simple questions may work for you or not work for you.

I'm only an outrider oberving the herd.

As far as I can see, you and your friends have nothing proscriptive to offer either Conservatives nor those who might wish to align themselves with you.

At post 210, who the heck do you think is still reading this thread?

As you previously said you could have done . . . just pass by.

And I'll still laugh.

I have found it rather amusing over the years to occasionally run into people wonder why I keep posting to them, when they keeps posting to me.

If you don’t want me to respond to you, don’t give me something to respond to.

It’s really nice to know that those you addressed have seen your posts. I don’t know why you posted a given to me about that, but it seemed necessare for some reason. As for them judging us, that is another given. That’s true for every thread we participate on.

It wasn’t a simple question. I have explained at length on this thread what my goal was. And at the point in the thread, you still don’t know. How mentioning this does or doesn’t help me is immaterial. I had hoped you would reread the thread and get begin get and answer to your terrible dilema.

We’re all outriders here. There is no herd instinct. We have our own views and either agree or disagree with posts. There is no organized group here. There is no herd. We agree with each other on one issue and disagree on another. Some herd.

You are entitled to make your “As far as I can see” determination as you see fit. I have stated in this thread that I am not asking folks to agree with me. I have only presented what I did so others could be exposed to it, and come away with their own conclusion. Once again, we are rehashing stuff that has been covered in this thread.

At the location of this post, you are still reading and responding. Duh. If you don’t want to get responses, then don’t make comments for me to respond to.

Laugh all you like. I’ve already joined you.

I am thrilled, truly, to provide you with amusement.

I do not post to you for the same reason you post to me.

You can't let go.

I really don't care whether or not you post back.

Look at what you write to me about. Or, that you write to me or anybody else about.

Not what we can do in the present real political world to further your conservatist values in any available real world forum, but how you can get more personal attention.

More strokes for you.

God bless.

I am thrilled, truly, to provide you with amusement. Look, you stated that you were laughing at me. What did you expect back? And besides, the above makes no sense to you?

I do not post to you for the same reason you post to me. I don't have the slightest idea why you post to me, but I post to you to reply to what you have said to me. If that isn't what you're doing, you'll have to pardon me for not having a clue why you would respond.

You can't let go. Says the guy who continues to post to me even though there isn't anything material to continue talking about.

I really don't care whether or not you post back. Okay... nice to know.

Look at what you write to me about. Or, that you write to me or anybody else about. Nah, why don't you look at what I write to you or anyone else about.

Not what we can do in the present real political world to further your conservatist values in any available real world forum, but how you can get more personal attention. If you don't think there is anything to be gained by expressing our opinions here, what the hell are you doing here?

More strokes for you. Lets see, you think that if I post it's because I want more strokes for me. But if you post it's because you are being reasoned. Is that about it? Bud, I do appreciate the entertainment value, but is this worthy of either of our time?

God bless.

You too.

Remarkable that there hasn't been another Tea Party.

It takes a critical mass of visionaries to see through the status quo and start things going in a better, although inconvenient, direction. The vast majority have been dumbed down and have not yet been terrified out of their sleepwalk. And the Rhinos, along with the Rats, have been doing their best to keep the electorate watered down and manageable.

Do you have any idea how silly these pot shots of yours look?  You sit there and insult me then expect me not to respond.  That isn't going to happen.

If you would like to say good-bye amicably and we go our separate ways, fine.  If you don't, then continue on with this childish need of yours to insult.

Sorry for acting like such a disagreeable jerk last night.

Honestly, McCain depresses me too. If you decide not to vote for him, I can fully understand.

I don’t know how McCain got the nomination but I feel like the republican party has left me. I will no longer consider myself a republican. I will only be considering myself to be a conservative.

Again, I can fully understand if you choose not to vote for McCain because he doesn’t represent me well either.

I didn’t think you were a disagreeable jerk. This is an important issue. Feelings run high and we all get frustrated over what’s going on. Don’t give it a second thought.

I wasn’t grinding over it.

Let’s face it, we feel betrayed, and we’re honestly not exactly sure who it is we should be teeing off on.

We’ll be going at this over the following months. I’ll try not to be too overbearing, and you folks express your disagreements as best you can. I’m all for it.

Take care.

If Obama wins in November ... he will not take office until January 20,2009.

Wouldn’t the rapture perhaps occur after the election and before Obama actually is organized and forward with his plans for change?

It might even take months for the transition to be effective. So ... there is time anywhere in there for the Rapture.

Many say the Rapture will come (after the 3 1/2 years of experiencing peace) ... when the 7 year peace treaty is broken, then the Rapture.

I tend to concur ... it seems to me that we all might experience persecution and suffering, as did our Lord.

The new testament in various places records ... believers/church having a part in the sufferings of Christ.

COME LORD JESUS!!! Amen.

I'm suggesting that the rapture will occur on the Feast of Tabernacles ( Rosh Hashanah ).
As it is the day that no man knows the day nor hour of it's coming.

No democrats will be raptured; some republicans will be, enough to tilt the outcome.

I'm a pre-tribulation millennialist. I find the strongest evidence for that position.

I base the date on a report on the "Prophecy in the News" podcasts
and the WND article Blood moon eclipses: 2nd Coming in 2015?

or

Solar and Lunar Eclipses in 2014/15

or

Thanks; I've been posting biblical threads and building the website for about eight years.

Suffer the little children.

I'm not the one who started this thread with images designed to attract fellow travelers and specific emotional responses. You did that.

And then, you claim to be merely inquisitive and polite and tolerant.

On other issues, we might be amicable. In this thread, I understand you perfectly well.

Lurkers may agree or not agree with me. But, I notice, you're the only one coming to your defense.

Do I have any idea how silly these posts are?

Of course, I do.

That's why I get such good entertainment from them.

McCain’s tactics are to appeal to enough center left people that together with the regular republican voters he can win. Is this reasonable? First, except for a very few moderate leftists such as Lieberman and other concerned orthodox Jews, and some racist democrat voters the vast majority of those he hopes to appeal to are adamantly against the war and they will not vote for him. Not a chance. With respect to the republican vote, that remains to be seen but without the former his chances are nil.

Suffer the little children.  Feel better?  I don't feel worse so it's no big deal to me.

I'm not the one who started this thread with images designed to attract fellow travelers and specific emotional responses. You did that.

I started this thread because I wanted folks to be aware of the baggage John is carrying.

And then, you claim to be merely inquisitive and polite and tolerant.

I wasn't aware I had done that.  I tried to be.

Well good.  I'm glad.

That's okay.  Even if it were true, I don't make posts for people who agree with me.  That would be a waste of time.  I make posts to explain to others who don't agree with my what my thoughts are.

Do I have any idea how silly these posts are?

It's the final jeopardy them song folks...

Of course, I do.

Great.  So do I.

Good.  The forum is here for you too you know.

>>To this guy, a RINO is more harmful to America than say Adolf Hitler<<

Actually, Adolf Hitler is not much of a threat any more. But McCain is more dangerous than a common RINO. His “Comprehensive immigration reform” would do worse damage to the USA than Bill Clinton ever did, even taking into account how bad Clinton was.

>>This guy lives in a dream world where all Republicans are perfect little manifestations of Ronald Reagan and no one every get their noses bloodied in order to see a bigger picture.<<

Hypocrisy alert! Aren’t you the guy who keeps shouting “strawman, strawman?”
