Looks like the Minnesota public schools are going down the same path as those in other states. Parents better get their children out while they can.
Schools don’t need to resort to this to stop bullying, which by itself is a laudable goal. But I think the author is right, stoppping bullying is not the real goal of the cirriculum’s advocates.
I have noticed that the term “welcoming” is increasingly being used to further the agenda of illegal immigrants and not, potentially, homosexuals too. Words are being hijacked and associated with causes. “Welcoming” and “tolerant” are liberal (good); “judgemental” is conservative (bad).
They did this exact same thing here in Charlotte just a month ago under the same guise. This story sounds identical. They must be pushing this all over the country in the major cities where there are Democrat majorities that they know will approve it.
A friend of mine son has been suspended for two days (fifth grade) for calling a kid an “artard”. I guess it means retard.
It is all so very weird.
On the other hand, a kid can beat another kid up, punch them in the head during class, or toss them into a locker. That stuff isn't a big deal. Schools don't know how to handle it, so they pretty much do nothing. After all, there are more important topics that need to be focused on (like bullying, which, as I say, they have no tolerance for. I just wish they would define bullying the way they used to).
I would have my child draw in a man or woman, as required, to complete the proper family structure--and of course anger the fags as well.

I expect the divide between the schools and family will continue grow. This agenda and others like it are often masked from the view of parents, but every so often somebody turns the crank too fast and the parents get a whiff of what’s going on.
Parents who love their children don’t send them to government schools like these in Minneapolis.

Arbuc Flomo is surprised? He is shocked that the government schools are attempting to turn children against their parents? What an idiot! Of course they are! The government schools have been doing this for many years now.
But...I strongly suspect that Arbuc Flomo will have his kid in that same school today. ( STUPID parent!)
Dan Loewenson of the Minneapolis School District says that parents are free to opt their children out of the program.
But...Parents are not able to opt out of the school! Their children are forced into association with the other children and teachers who have been thoroughly indoctrinated in this anti-Christian values toxic waste.
The tax payers are not permitted from opting out of paying for it either!
After Hale parents filed formal objections to "Welcoming Schools" in March, district leaders referred the matter to the district's Curriculum and Instruction Committee. On May 28, the committee will deliberate about next steps after hearing from parents and staff.
These stupid parents should give it up! They should instead direct their political energies into shutting down every government school in their district.
Do these stupid parents honestly believe they can reform every Liberal/Marxist teacher exiting our nation's colleges of education? These are the teachers who are teaching all the courses in these government indoctrination camps. It isn't just this one pro-homosexual acceptance course.
Two more points:
1) There are schools that are so morally and socially toxic that it would be better for a child to get **NO** education whatsoever than to ever step foot in one! Illiterate and innumerate would be better than subjecting them to the toxic waste found in them.

2) There are likely plenty of so-called, church going, God-believing, but STUPID Christian government teachers who will thoroughly and completely go along with, aid, abet, and completely implement this gay indoctrination program. They will completely support this anti-Chrisitian values indoctrination program while simultaneously thinking they are being good Christian examples of Christian behavior. ( Yeah right!) ( With eyeroll)
Instead of protesting, and risking the loss of their jobs, these Christian teachers will instead teach all the children that Christians teachers are hypocrites, will sell they principles for a paycheck, and are timid and weak.
Christian parents who send their children to these schools are teaching many of the same lessons. They are teaching their children that Christian parents are too weak to yank them out of these cesspools.
When these Christian children reach adulthood too many will have abandoned their faith. Those who who are not Christian will be unlikely to listen to true missionaries. We can thank their weak, timid, and compliant teachers and parents for that!

I'm ashamed that I'm surprised by this crap. I should have known better. I'm sure that bullying is a serious problem in gov't schools. It was when I was in school way back when. The reason why it has never been addressed is that it's never in anyone's interest to report it, including the victim's. "Ratting" will only make the bullying worse. Figures the homo lobby would work this to their advantage.
