I'm aware of several local cases (small stuff, no reason to be news at all) -- if a kid calls someone a name, they come down hard. Bullying has to stop. Suspension is pretty much a given if you call someone a "fag" or a "retard".

On the other hand, a kid can beat another kid up, punch them in the head during class, or toss them into a locker. That stuff isn't a big deal. Schools don't know how to handle it, so they pretty much do nothing. After all, there are more important topics that need to be focused on (like bullying, which, as I say, they have no tolerance for. I just wish they would define bullying the way they used to).

Yes, it’s been noted that the most PC, multi-culti schools are also the most Lord-of-the-Flies violent in actuality.
