Yesterday The Ticket broke the stunning news of America's acquisition of seven, maybe eight, new states, according to future president Barack Obama.
He was speaking at the start of a two-day swoop through Oregon, which is already a state.
In Beaverton, which is not a state yet, the Democrat let it slip that during this marathon 16-month party presidential nomination struggle against a bunch of dropouts and this female political zombie from New York who won't surrender short of a silver stake, he had already visited 57 states with one more to go.
That's not counting the existing states of Alaska and Hawaii, he said, which his staff decided aren't important enough to visit. Unless maybe you're Mike Gravel or Dennis Kucinich, who weren't very important either, come to think of it.

I used to have an old Field and Stream magazine from the early 1970’s which had an article about how bow hunting was allowed in all 52 states. (Yes, 52 states)
That's 60 states, according to The Obamessiah. Still. It is suitable to have a Lapel Pin of 57, because that is the count which His Selfitude deigned worthy of visitude.

Maybe that’s one of the thing he’s gonna change.
I beleive he was more than coincidentaly thinking of the 57 states in the Organization of the Islamic Conf.

After the original article came the comments of several B.O.bots who don’t find this amusing at all. They are for him because of his “policies.” Name three; the first two don’t count. Oh, but we can HOPE (trade mark pending) that he’ll come up with a few when he takes office.

Yipes! Is that true? If so, this probably was in the back of his mind somewhere when that number popped out. He’s probably been having “briefings,” and hey, what’s a candidate to do?

Maybe not. The correct total might be 58. He said he hadn't been to Alaska or Hawaii, but since he wasn't allowed to go there, they might not actually be states.
