Credit card companies have been changing due dates without notice, they raised interest rates - without notice, and the list goes on.
I believe in Capitalism, but putting the screws to hardworking American people with the help of the elected officials is absolutely unacceptable.

You are correct, not all consumers are responsible for their circumstances. But, if you look at the majority???
But sadly, the CC companies have been stuck with the debt of people not able to meet their obligations. So it is passed on to others in many ways. We all pay whether we are at fault or not.
If you borrow money, you are at the mercy of the lender.
So therefore, we condemn democrats for voting against drilling in ANWR and forget that McCain voted with the democrats on ANWR?
I agree with you, thus the point to place regulations on thieves. Many of the CC companies are nothing more than legal con artist and legal loan sharks protected by the very people we placed to represent us (we the people), all the while, the elected officials continue to line their pockets at the expense of their constituency.
But is the Postal Service truly a US government agency?
