There is no federal law banning states from admitting illegal immigrants to colleges and universities, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said. The statement contradicts a letter issued this week by the North Carolina Attorney General, who advised the State Community College System that federal law prohibits the admission of illegal immigrants to public colleges and universities. "The Department of Homeland Security does not require any school to determine a student's status," the department said.

That totally works!
Like wise, there is no federal law granting the dept of home land security the rights to supersede the state constitution and the laws of the state.
I declare that if a college or university has a policy that admits illegals, all Federal monies should be immediately cut off.
But won’t they miss a lot of classes? What with the federal government enforcing the laws that DO exist, protecting our borders and all? /ssssssarc
The malfeasance of our government continues. Votes clearly remain far more important than the integrity of America and its system of laws, the security of our nation, and the value of American citizenship. As long as voters continue to put power-driven pols in Washington, this travesty will continue.
Not only that but, in California, illegals are able to claim in-state tuition. Out of state Americans have to pay more than illegals to attend state funded universities (UCLA, Berkeley, etc.).
I prefer Michelle Malkin’s title: Department of Homeland Insecurity.
I agree. In addition to the multitude of problems the illegal invasion is bringing us, it’s also incredible that the government is oblivious to dangers of insecure borders in this age of international terrorism.

Seems to me that the “illegal” part of illegal immigrant kinda covers it.
Article.IV., Section.4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Governmet, and shall protect each of them against Invasion.
Obviously, this part of the Constitution is being ignored and the foreign invasion continues apace. The plain English meaning and original intent are clear. But if the government is controlled by ethnocentric pressure groups, special-interest business lobbies and activist judges with a liberal agenda, it doesn’t matter what the law says. It’s ignored or misinterpreted to suit their interests.
I would definately call that a “crew-served weapon.”
Although, I suppose on guy could use it, with a firing rate of about one round a month.
And it needs aiming stakes.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious.
But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly.
But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.
For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men.
He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.
A murderer is less to be feared."
-- Marcus Tullius Cicero
Right - but you’ve got common sense and that gets us nowhere with the open-borders crew!
And if Americans don’t like it, our government will import Mexicans to vote for it - just another “job Americans won’t do.”
A very appropriate quote. Cicero speaks to every age. Here’s another quote that I think is compatable: “Those who do not remember the past are condemned to relive it.” - Santayana
