Yes, yes, we do. Coprrection, though - we needed it in 1988.

Sadly, we needed it passed when Republicans had the majorities, not now after average Americans are made to suffer.
The whole thing makes me want to puke.

Don’t see any of those Greenies, better known as Democrats on that sponsor list. Everybody knows we need this bill, but those gutless politicians wont let it pass.
To: kellynla
why not go into a full court press to get this passed and signed into law asap.
We did it to remove amnesty, let’s try it on the energy bill. I’m writing my three today!

I see that our own Republican Representative did not sign. I just sent her an email. You may want to do the same.
To: kellynla
The Republicans should make a big deal of this. They need to stand on the capitol steps and demand action. Every Republican going on the TV circuits tomorrow should steer every answer to this bill. Make the Dems either sign on to this bill or very publicly reject it.

(Can't vote for Obama, so rah rah McCain I guess)

Not a single Democrat is supporting Domenici's bill. That means it's DOA--but it's also an EXCELLENT issue to run on.
Get to it, Republicans.

California could allow offshore oil development and possibly reduce its deficit.
