Michael Savage isn't really conservative. He is a caricature of what the left thinks conservatives are.

Nonsense. Savage is 100 times more conservative than Bush. He was the first to embrace the SwiftVets and have them on his program, and defend Sinclair, and without peer on the illegal alien issue. Don't believe the lies.

I’m the Empress of Massachusetts, and I can’t believe O’Reilly is even on the list.

Good grief what an absurd list.

If they get to have dead people (Reagan) on the list..where’s Edmund Burke? William F Buckley? Barry Goldwater?

Bill Kristol? conservative? What a HOOT!

I’m not sure Ronald Reagan should be number 21, he’s in that big ranch in the sky but he’s still influential.

I think Tancredo should be on that list.

Except for Hannity. He doesn’t belong on that list.

Are you KIDDING?? Hannity reaches so many people that otherwise might not even have a political CLUE, with his TV show. And Hannity is a hard-working BULLDOG for the conservative cause. He puts off the conservative elitists, yes, but his huge heart and amazing stamina is pure gold for American Conservatism. His influence is huge.

So who are these 54 bloggers? I can’t say I’ve heard of more than two of them. Granted I don’t follow blogs much but I would think that if they were really big players on the conservative blog scene I would have heard of more of them here on FR.

Seems to me that we probably take a random sample of 54 FReepers and get a better list

Hannity does the image of Conservatism a lot of damage.

No, he doesn't. See my previous. He probably brings a lot of people to our side.

He's not an educated man and it shows. He doesn't seem to have many fans here either.

Because the most outspoken Freepers sometimes pass over the less educated conservatives and focus only on the degreed brilliant ones. They miss a HUGE point in life. It's NOT all about education. There is also Goodness and Heart and Faithfulness. Conservatives should have a HUGE tent for every IQ level. You will not FIND a more loyal conservative than Sean Hannity. He's kind, entertaining, and more hardworking than you or me.

I'd volunteer but then it wouldn't be a random sample anymore. Hehehe!

Not a good idea, relying on eggheads. Just ask Obama. And this guy.

I'd rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard University.

William F. Buckley, Jr.

Thanks for defending Sean Hannity’s name on this list. Sometimes he does get repetitious - but it is that tenacity that finally allowed the arrogance and hatred of Jeremiah Wright to break through into the nation’s consciousness. Sean has been pounding away at that theme for over a year now. Also, the Bill Ayers-Bernadette Dhorn connection to Obama is largely credited to Hannity for bringing it to the attention of the media. So, he may seem to be be annoying at times, but he does get reaction from many corners of the political world.

Well, you know what you’re missing then. I’ve heard of them all but then again, I’m not that educated.

It's 'You or I'. :-)

But seriously though you make good points. I just don't find anything he says interesting. But perhaps I'm not in his target audience.
