LITTLE ROCK - Its a happy Mothers Day for an Arkansas woman shes pregnant with her 18th child.
Michelle Duggar, 41, is due on New Years Day, and the latest addition will join seven sisters and 10 brothers. There are two sets of twins.
"Weve had three in January, three in December. Those two months are a busy time for us," she said, laughing.

I saw their story on television.
I’m 56 and I’m #8 of 8. I can’t imagine it being any other way. My mom was stay at home and we all got plenty of individual attention. The woman had eyes in the back of her head. She was a saint.
“I wrote a song about it. ‘Goes like this....”
No. Mathematically, there might be enough space. It would be impossible to create an infrastructure to deal with that type of density.
My apologies to all of you - apparently it is not acceptable with many of you to have a differing opinion than this group believes - although our nation is founded on understanding all sides of an issue and the right to have dissent correct?
Nevertheless you were defending a lifestyle and family you all revere and admire - and that is a good thing.
Have a good weather weekend ahead.
***Maybe they edit out some of the pranks the kids might be playing - but then I ask Why would they? Kids do lots of things which get them into trouble - I only hope the Duggar kids are allowed to as well.***
Maybe the children don’t WANT to get into trouble! Maybe they are happy not playing pranks! As hard as it is to understand, it is possible for a child to have no desire to be naughty!
My dad stopped by the drugstore and bought a gross of condoms (much cheaper). Then he noticed there was a small size oxygen tank on the shelf and he needed one for the airplane, so he got that too.
Druggist didn't miss a beat: "If it makes you so weak, why do you do it so much?"
How many were fathered by William Jefferson Clinton?
LOL
i believe that i read that michelle duggar once said that she spent more time with each of her children than mothers who have one child
with 24 hours in 1 day and 17 kids, how is that possible?
Obviously, you don’t watch the programs. Each child is a true idividual. Older siblings help care for younger siblings’ physical needs, but the parents are very present and react regularly with each one. They have no TV, homeschool, and spend a ton of time together.
Are the 20 year old and the 18 year olds in college?
"I wonder if they have to make an appointment to be hugged by mom or dad."
I wonder how mom and dad can really know their children when there are so many. I don't doubt that these kids are healthy, and well cared for but as you suggest, where is the personal interaction between the child and his or her parents? I think that is important as well.
You are correct. Watched a special on tv about them. The oldest kids were asked if they would have a large family. Every one of them said no. Why not they were asked? Too much work! They are responsible for the laundry and most of housework, and caring for their sibs, mom's job is basically taking care of the new baby.
Don't get me wrong, I admire large families.
See post 172.
Well put. There’s a limit to everything, and you have to separate fantasy from reality.
Then point us to some detail about how it works.
I don't think they care so much how they paid for their house. They want to make sure that we the taxpayers didn't pay for it.
The taxpayers did not pay for it, therefore it is no one's business but the family's.
