SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- As expected, former KGO Radio talk show host Bernie Ward pleaded guilty Thursday to a charge of distributing child pornography. Ward did not comment as he left the federal courthouse in San Francisco Thursday afternoon, but he did, though, admit to a judge that he sent a sexually-explicit image of a child over the Internet. After his arrest in December, Ward claimed he was researching a book.
The judge agreed to hold off on accepting Ward's plea until his sentencing in August. That's so Ward can attend his son's high school graduation. He faces a minimum of five-years in federal prison.
The ABC7 I-Team has been following this case and exploring Ward's time as a Catholic priest.

Nice find, you gonna ping the list?
Only in San Francisco!! Okay, maybe in Berkly, Ithica, Madison, ............
Maybe he should keep his pillar to himself.
He’s probably pals with that liberal ACLU honcho that was busted for the same thing.
I listened to his programs at various times over a 20 year + period. He said he had been a teacher at one itme. I knew he had attended seminary in Berkeley. But I never heard him say explicitly he was ordained. That was a surprise to me when this story started to develop.
A REGULAR person or a Conservative would have been in the SLAMMER!! He SPAWNED????OMG!
Maybe Bernie will get his time in the slammer and he could end up as someone’s b**ch. I predict a prison gang bang is in his future. If the prison populace gains knowledge of what he’s in for, he won’t last out his sentence. FYI, the guy is an a**hole anyway if you ever had the misfortune of listening to this pompous ass. Nuff said.
Judge: Here, we'll hold off on your child porn sentence so that you can attend an event around a bunch of young men.
