"We're the only local news/talk station here in NYC in the morning," said John Gambling. Alluding to Imus and WABC's 5 a.m. host Curtis Sliwa, he cracked, "The guy with the cowboy hat and the guy with the beret are going to have to watch their backs."
Gambling said, not for the first time, that he has little use for Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama and that John McCain is "not the candidate I would put together if it were up to me."
Gambling spent the last eight years at WABC (770 AM), after WOR startled him in 2000 by not renewing his contract. In some ways, he suggested yesterday, his return is also startling.
"Who'd a thunk it?" he said, adding several times, "I can't tell you how happy I am to be here."

I think Imus reruns parts of his beginning of the show again later on in the show. I put him on after Curtis at 6 AM and by the car ride to work now I put on John G. Never really liked John but he’s 10x better that Imus. In the PM I get tired of Sean carrying on and I change back to WOR again for Steve Maltzberg who is on at the same time. But gotta make sure I’m ready to listen to The Great One at 6PM.
If I miss Marks show I will listen the next day onine.
I also dont think the Program director doesn’t like Imus too much. This morning there was some back and forth emails after Imus said something off color and he must have heard from Phil Boyce and then Imus said “That man really don’t like me does he?” His sychophants just laughed.
I just want a NY local morning show. And Yes Imus’ music sucks!!!!
I'm so curious to see how Imus does in the ratings, especially now that Gambling is on against him. When Gambling was fired by WABC, I missed his show...
I had WOR and Gambling on this morning, but stupidly didn’t turn the radio off when he was over.
Gambling is followed by Joan Hamburg — of the shopping fame — who delves into shallow politics at times. I really don’t listen to her as shopping is boring to me. But this morning I kept her on and listened to her sickening kiss-up to Hillary. It was awful! Her admiration finally got to me and I went to the Weatherchannel for relief!! LOL!

I predict Gambling will crush Imus. Steve Malzberg has a better, more varied show too. I’ll bet WOR starts to pick up ground on WABC. But Levin then Limbaugh with keep the ball in WABC’s court. And John Batchelor is back on WABC too now.

Not sure why you thought I would be in the military. There is no US military here. I am a private tutor of English.
Life here is great, and I can live much cheaper then in the US. Also the girls look 10 times better :)
Also, I do not have to put up with DU type liberal socialist here.
I see little reason to go back to the US now.

The closest I came to Bratislava was Budapest in 1999. It was a wonderful river cruise that went from Amsterdam to Budapest. Take care...
