I have a solution: those who paid their mortgage on time should get to DOUBLE the amount they paid in interest as a deduction on their taxes. Also, I get to add in my homeowner insurance as a deduction.

Sounds fair to me. I paid on time, kept the economy afloat, so there you go.

To answer your question it means those who pay their rents and mortgages on time will have jobs to be able to keep paying on those, shunting the dim led crash of our economy for political gain.

You know that really is a good and fair proposal. Maybe you should write to your congressman. Of course if you live in a Blue State like I do don’t waste your time. Tax cuts or helping a non-government dependent person is not int their vocabulary.

That is what you get for being responsible. No federal bailouts for you, and you get to help out your irresponsible neighbors with higher taxes. After all, they need your money to spend on other things. Why should they give up the niceties in life, just because you are financially responsible?

And just wait until retirement! You saved for retirement? Your neighbors are going to want some of those savings, and Congress will see to it they get it.

Don’t rock the government giveaway boat, especially in an election year. Go spend that stimulus check (if you qualified for one)on some quality booze to numb that bitterness away.

I’m spending my stimulus chech on another new gun. Need to protect what I have worked hard to accumulate, from the greedy liberals who want to redistribute my “wealth”.

We have to be able to fight off the wolves on the doorstep.
They are undeserving of my subsidy.

Rawhide, what you say is right on!The politicians of both parties put us in this situation over the years. Our government has always ben run by checks and balances...Since Jimmie Carter came along we are being run by appeasers to the so called down trodden, and let’s face it, the lazy and irrsponsible...That’s who the Democrats cater to....I see NO end in sight!! I thank God that at least I was raised in a better time....

Right now I’ve lost respect for the politicians who are out there, be they Dems or Pubbies..The only reason I call y self Republican is because they at least TRY to put a lid on things.....

Hey, what you just said is right on though!!!!

Exactly. Why can't I qualify for mortgage forgiveness? I feel like I shouldn't have to pay for people who bought more home than they could afford. That's why a taxpayer bailout is wrong.

The same thing the bailout of Bear Stearns did?

Wife and I just got our CCW permits. We're spending ours on guns.
