Threats to Air Supremacy American ground forces have not come under attack from enemy air forces since the Korean War. This air supremacy has provided the freedom of movement our forces have come to depend on to win on the battlefield. Beats the heck out of how bad they almost screwed it up in the European Theater.

Thank God for men like General "Pete" Quesada, to take the fight to the front, and men like Colonel John Boyd for the OODA loop, and all that means.

USAF will be ok. And if they aren't, as long as I'm alive, I'll complain about it, loudly...

To Bomber Barons and Fighter Mafia both.

Just to make things clear.

God bless Navy Aviators. I don't have to argue with them.

Yes. They have been watching us forever, looking at our patterns and so on.

Not like we have been sitting still.

Sorry, I aint buying. All of the geewiz in this film overlooks the most important component of any combat system - the operator; in this case, the pilot. Are there any better more experienced warrior pilots in the world than the US Air force/Marine/Navy pilot? I think not. Is there a better trained pilot in the world than Our Pilots? I sincerely doubt it. Probably a close #2 would be Israel forces. You can sell all of this high-tech to the world and they will be poorly trained operators of expensive targets for out men and women air drivers.

There is no comparison as to the vulnerability of our forces based on technology alone. It is the warrior that makes the difference.

Another point; didn’t Israel prove that the Most extensive Russian air defense as deployed in Syria to protect their border is just so much crap when the ships are down? Our free world has been progressing apace in maintaining this battle field superior.

For these and a host of other reasons, I am not too concerned. I mean, give me a break; just how superior would this expensive target would be against a warrior from a well trained experienced US fly boy/girl. I call them expensive targets because I am convinced that it would be a turkey shoot.

I apologize for the double post. one change is that in the body of the post is the term “slips are down” change slips to chips and you know what I mean. Spell check hasn’t deployed the “you know what I mean” option.

well even if that is true it makes it much more reasonable to ask for defense funding if there are threats on horizon

just saying
