If all third political parties really want a decent example as to why they can’t make any serious inroads politically against both the Republicans and the Democrats, then they should look at Ohio’s ongoing political “mess”. The Republicans there had their problems, and now, it’s the Democrats there that are having problems. Despite all of the problems in Ohio with both D’s and R’s, the majority of voters there still won’t vote third party as a serious political alternative.
Let's parse this a bit, shall we?
"He had an affair with a subordinate." An "affair" means more than one time, and by mutual consent, i.e., the lady was ready, willing and able.
He "contributed to an atmosphere where sexual harassment was permissible". He contributed. No where does it say he established and singularly maintained said atmosphere. And just how, specifically, did he contribute? That being the case didn't she likewise contribute to said atmosphere? She is libel to official prosecution?
Politics is a smash mouth game. It's therefore pretty much a given this is guy has political enemies. Does this gal factor in? If so, how? To what degree? Would her past [viz. office politics] stand up to similar investigation(s) as his? Which is the closer category for her: Anita Hill or Ellie Mae Clampett?
Frankly this sounds like a hatchet job on this poor SOB. I'm not defending him in the least, but like I said before politics is smash mouth game.
