Limbaugh throws support to 'weaker' Obama
Politico ^ | May 7th, 2008 | Ben Smith

Posted on 05/07/2008 10:42:55 AM PDT by The_Republican

Rush Limbaugh, between crowing about the success and attention of his "Operation Chaos," switched sides in the Democratic primary this morning.

"I now urge the Democratic superdelegates to go publicly make your mind up for Obama," he said.

Earlier, he said, "I'm now tempted to tell superdelegates to pick Obama because I now believe he would be the weakest nominee."

Limbaugh had been urging his listeners to support Hillary as the only chance for Republican victory in November, and to extend the Democratic primary. Exit polls and anecdotes suggest that many did.

Not sure there are really a lot of dittoheads among the superdelegates, however.

Also, he took an obligatory shot at McGovern, who just called on Clinton to drop out.

"Mcgovern in his lifetime wants to see someone lose worse than he did," he said.

Rush is truly having more fun than should be allowed.

But there are those who insist on taking Rush seriously.

Not only that but many probably hate him. Rush is playing with their minds. He wants them so messed up there will be no decision before the convention. If there is no winner after the first ballo at the convention...what happens then?? Are the delegates released after the first ballot??

Right now, Rush is complaining about how the RAT voters in MI and FL are being “disenfranchised”. It’s gotten to the point where Limbaugh is parroting Clinton talking points, ranting on about the voting rights act and all. After the last two days, I have deep suspiscion that Rush Limbaugh is trying to get Hillary Clinton elected President.

LOL, as he should. Keeping the in-fighting in the Dem Party is quite entertaining.

You need to understand something Hillary carries a lot of dirty garbage. Obama is a huge unknown so far.
Its a lot easier to kill Hillary than take on the new addition to Jesse Jackson,Al Sharpton,Rev Wright crew.

Rush will love to eat Hillary's carcass. Its like shooting fish in a barrel especially with the idiot husband she has strapped herself with. He is a political moron. Steals and gets caught grabs some stray stuff and gets caught. Hillary will be a home run for the the Rhinos.

The man with the cigar is nobody's fool understand that. I may not agree with everything he says or does but this time Operation Chaos is a huge home run for McCain. He has single handily kept the demoncrats at there throats for so long its funny.
The jackasses wanted a long primary to attempt to disenfranchise Pres Bush now there stupidity is coming back to kill them big time.
Listen observe and remember.

Note: the website (the excellent Dave Leip's Atlas of US Presidential Elections) that generated these maps has been running since before 2000. They opted NOT to regenerate the maps just because the media unanimously decided to switch from "Red" for "Democrats" to "Blue"...

McGovern 1972:

Carter 1980:

Mondale 1984:

Dukakis 1988:

"I have deep suspiscion that Rush Limbaugh is trying to get Hillary Clinton elected President."

No, no, all Limbaugh is doing is stirring the pot even more. By advocating the seating of the MI. and FLA delegates, most of which go to Hillary, he will rile up the blacks to levels from which they will not soon recover. It has the added benefit of holding the entire Democrat party up for ridicule because they aren't following their own rules. Remember they voted on NOT counting these delegates because they ran their primaries early and Hillary was right there voting to not have them counted.

It's hard to say if Limbaugh is driving OC or just playing of it, not that it matters. It has accomplished it's stated purpose and has taken on a life of it's own.

It is all ploy. Rusk knows what problems that a Hillary nomination would cause.

Rush has had callers who ARE delegates though and unsure about going to the national convention...

Thanks geo. Rush’s long-anticipated endgame move kinda pulls the rug on the fun. The Demwits still have a few months now to straighten things out in private meetings, calls, and text messages prior to the convention.

Rush has used the radio to create chaos in the tradition of the great Orson Wells during the "War of the Worlds" hoax on Oct 30, 1938.

Rush seems to have been quiet lately about his contention that the Dems crossed lines during the Repub primaries and "gave" us McCain. It would be nice to hear about the "boiler room orders" from the Dem side when McCain was running in the primaries. Turnabout is more than fair play, I guess.

This may be the first time in American history where the Dems picked BOTH Presidential candidates!

It's sad but you are right. There is no way that anyone can reasonably claim that Rush isn't trying to get the filthy witch elected. He knows that she can beat McCain, and he wants nothing more than to see McCain punished.

I used to be a loyal Rush listener, I'll never listen to him again.

Even McCain would try to clamp down on talk radio.

There is no suspicion. It's a fact. Rush thinks the beast would be good for ratings, never mind she'd destroy the country.

Obama cannot beat McCain. You vastly underestimate the racist nature of Northern Democrats. Mark my words, Obama will lose Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Ohio. New Jersey will be in Play and McCain will run away with Florida.

There is no where on the map that Obama can make up those loses.

Rush knows this, which is why he wants McCain to face the filthy banshee.

Along with the Weekly Standard crowd, Rush prefers Hillary because he thinks she is better on foreign policy.
