You knew this was coming. Global Warming is to blame for everything these days, including Global Cooling. From The Guardian:
Two deaths in the waters off California and Mexico last week and a spate of shark-inflicted injuries to surfers off Floridas Atlantic coast have left beachgoers seeking an explanation for a sudden surge in the number of strikes. In the first four months of this year, there were four fatal shark attacks worldwide, compared with one in the whole of 2007, according to the International Shark Attack File at the Florida Museum of Natural History in Gainesville.
Of course, these deaths began with an unprecedented number of Great White sightings in southerly west coast waters beginning on March first. West Coast whites are migratory - they work a circuit across the Pacific that appears to be determined by fish runs, seal populations, time of year and breeding/birthing instincts. The fact that they all showed up at once in these waters suggests something along those lines - think Salmon in the fall.
I actually do believe the sharks are migrating due to warming. It is called springtime.
How in the hell did AlGore convince the sharks to attack?....The wooden Indian is simply amazing!
The sharks are attacking because of a lack of natural oils in their diet. Can we drill now?
“Surge in fatal shark attacks blamed on global warming?”
Could it also be that global warming is the cause of swimmers preferring shark infested waters?
Global warming causes e.d. !
For those of you who do believe in AGW, denigrate means "to put down."
Another pure garbage story worthy to be fed to the pigs. If, as some recent scientific reports suggest, ocean temps are actually decreasing (and not increasing), then the rise of shark attacks can be attributed to global cooling, and not global warming.
This makes sense as it regards the great white shark, which is a cool-water shark. On the Pacific side, the cooler ocean temps would help explain the increased sightings — and attacks.
But will they blame global cooling for this? Not on your life.
After applying the logic in this article, your explanation makes perfect sense.

Radio tagging off the California coast has shown that female whites hit southerly waters (including Hawaii) in the winter and spring (they are really thick off Guadalupe Island in mexico). They think it's for breeding and pupping, but they don't really know. The San Diego attack was thought to have been a female based on the Bite Radius.
In days of old, spiritual leaders, witch doctors and the like, would tell people eclipses happened and crops failed because they were impious and weren’t supplying said shamans with enough virgins (for sacrifice, of course). I used to wonder how people could be so gullible. Now I look at this global warming hysteria, which blames the weather, natural disasters and animal behavior on politically incorrect thinking, and I understand. Maybe we should offer Al Gore a couple of virgins?
I have a cavity. Global warming must have caused it.
Good one! I’m going to steal it for future use.
Global warming, for sure.
While every single program the Discovery Channel is running about Alaska tells us all the ice is melting and what a crisis it is.
This is what I wrote on today’s thread about Koalas:
“If it’s cute and cuddly it’s threatened by climate change.
If it’s ugly, vicious, slimy, disgusting, or dangerous climate change will multiply their number.”

But they wouldn't be hungry if it weren't for the global food crisis brought about by global warming!
I was paraphrasing Bob Newhart....it’s a great line.
last time this crap led headlines, 9/11 happened shortly thereafter and kind of refocused reality.
That’s probably exactly the logic they use.
