Wasn’t Gore calling it Global Warming yesterday when he blamed the Burmese cyclone on it. I can’t keep track of what they’re calling it—is it Global Warming or Climate Change?

The people who have fallen for the man-made global warming scam are the ones who buy into evolution — so what's the problem?

Something will evolve to take the Koala's place in the new ecosystem.

it saps precious nutrients from the eucalyptus leaves

Let me be the first to say that if it’s between me and my family being able to stay warm, and earn a living, and some critter, the critter loses.

I don’t care about koalas, or polar bears, or alaskan caribou or snail darters, or 3 eyed, green furry owls. If we can save them without destroying our own lives, fine. If not, sucks to be them.

I think all those greenies who idolize nature should be forced to watch predators hunt, and see how “nature” intended things to be.

Since when has cardon dioxide become a “pollutant” and tannins become “anti-nutrients”?

I hate this glib manipulation of the language almost as much as I hate the dissimulation behind the agenda.

These idiots can’t even predict the weather for next week. I actually read one report recently that global warming was the cause of global cooling! How can you get one of these “paid to be a do nothing idiot” jobs? I want one!

This entire fraud is nothing more than taxes and control.

You know, we’re going at this all wrong. If we could invent some connection between the environment and some debility among Freepers, we could all be sittin’ pretty, spending our grant money.

So now global warming carbon dioxide is seen as crippling trees...

That’s one way to get around the plant food argument.

he and his researchers also found that the amount of toxicity in the leaves of eucalyptus saplings rose when the level of carbon dioxide within a greenhouse was increased.

Ok, question #1: How much of an increase in C02 were these plants subjected to?

#2 By how much did that exposure increase the "toxicity" levels?

If it's cute and cuddly — it's threatened by climate change.

If it's ugly, vicious, slimy, disgusting, or dangerous — climate change will multiply their number.

An increase in carbon dioxide favors the trees' production of carbon-based anti-nutrients over nutrients, so leaves can become toxic to koalas, Hume said. Some eucalyptus species may have high protein content, but anti-nutrients such as tannins bind the protein so it cannot be digested by koalas

Meanwhile this study says the opposite

So when they need global warming to be bad for plants, global warming causes plants to produce more nutrients & less toxins but when they need global warming to be bad for a cute animal then all of a sudden plants produce less nutrients and more toxins.

Methinks they are getting the results they want.

I see.

Global warming only affects cute animals.

I adnmit it’s been a while since I last took a science course, but I seem to rememember something about trees needing carbon dioxide to live. How can more food be bad for tress? It’s not like they’re going to gain weight & clog their ateries or anything.

Didn’t koalas and eucalyptus trees both evolve long ago when CO2 levels were far higher? How did they ever manage to make it until today’s “safe” environment came along?

Koala Wars

This controversial story investigates a problem that goes to the heart of a crisis in wildlife management in Australia. This is not a story about disappearing wildlife it’s a story about native animals reaching plague numbers. The animal is the koala in certain areas of Victoria koalas are stripping bare entire forests, and killing off the very trees they depend on...
