Book Review: "Stupid Black Men"
In his book "Stupid Black Men: How to Play the Race Card--and Lose," Larry Elder provides a clear and compelling analysis, showing that the worst enemies of black Americans are self-appointed "black leaders" and their white liberal allies who use race-baiting as a sinister tool to further their socialist agenda.
Elder boldly turns the spotlight on those who shout about racism and unfairness, while promoting a victimhood mentality that harms poor black people, the very group the race-baiters claim they want to help.
Urban blacks are mired in poverty, Elder points out in his book, because they are discouraged from accepting responsibility for their own self-destructive personal conduct and, instead, blame "the man".
Blacks are led to believe that they can't realize the American dream and won't survive without affirmative action.
Liberals have stifled black progress, convincing blacks that their vote only counts if it's a liberal vote along racial lines.

I’m still burning through one book, I think I have maybe 5 I’ve already started, waiting to be finished, and on top of that I have over 2 dozen books to read.
So I guess the author will be invited on the Today Show to tout his book pretty soon. Big play for this in the MSM, I bet.

Larry is great. I live in LA and talk to him on his show occassionally. He takes a lot of abuse from the black community. “Bootlicker”, “Uncle Tom”, etc.
The left hates the man.

I really look forward to hearing Larry Elder when I’m in the LA area. I wish he were syndicated, but at least now I can listen to him on the internet (KABC.com).

Why is it that, from either point of view, it's always white people who are responsible for the state of affairs in the black community, rather than black people themselves?

This cartoon is so true, these gentlemen would be out of a job if one day every black person woke up and said “Dammit, I’m not goiing to blame anyone but myself for my own failures” and get on with life. Personal responsibility is the key to success. We already have every tool we need, if we could only get enough sense and realize the “American Dream” belongs to us too.
Whites who say the truth about why Blacks can’t succeed are called racists. Blacks who say it are ignored.

Did you read it yet? I wonder how much Larry had to do with the title because I think may deter purchases, especially at lefty havens on the Westside like Barnes & Noble.
Bill Cosby isn’t exactly popular with blacks either because he tells it like it is.
