I’m no longer a Republican and I’m looking for a Conservative party.

Generally good suggestions but are the nation's voters really demanding the census bureau be overhauled? What in the hell goes through this guy's head?
Overhaul the census and cut its budget radically.

I used to have such respect for Newt. But now that he’s become Mr. Global Warming Jr., I find it hard to listen to anything he has to say.

This is more of the same garbage we hear from Republicans today, just with a new spin on it. Where is the drilling for more oil where we know vast reserves exist? Where is the plan to expose man-made global warming? Where do we see a plan to continue the fight against global terror? This is infuriating!!

Earlier reports here from people who know the district indicate that the loss was caused by a split vote between two Republican candidates. I think there was a woman with a big ego who refused to drop out. The seat could be regained in the next regular election.
Much of what Newt says is fine in theory, but he’s just repeating himself without having much of a clue what’s actually going on.

Newt, Newt, Newt, don’t you see, we don’t want actionable items, decisive plans or to actually have to DO something, we just want to whine about ‘Osama Hussein’, Whitewater and ‘Hiterlry’ while passing bloated budgets full of pork; why do any real work when your opponent is going to have either cleavage or a funny name?

Get off your ass and do something then, Newt. Until the GOP (or the non-existent “Conservative Party” that some wish for) recruits, preps, and funds viable candidates we will continue to get more of what we have today.

The Conservatives in England won because they moved to the Left of Labour. If the GOP does that here, they might catch up and maybe pass the Democrats.

Newt the moment I saw you sitting on the bench kissing Nancy's butt anything you said after that was of no consequence. The disaster has already happened and we just haven't been told the results yet. Besides the party kicked me out - not the other way around.

The Democrat who won the special election in Louisiana's 6th district is a pro-life, pro-2A Democrat with statewide recognition.
He ran against a Republican who is known mostly for losing big statewide elections five times and who was forced into a punishing runoff for the GOP nomination.
The circumstances of this election cannot be used to support Gingrich's thesis.

Hey, Newt, we voted for real change back in 1994. And you let us down. How about a Republican Party that talks conservative and votes conservative?

Overhaul the census and cut its budget radically. Does he mean by actually stripping it down to its Constitutional function, or is this just a gimmick "wave the magic wand and make waste-fraud-and-abuse vanish" promise?

I liked Newt before he decided to become Al Gore’s Mini Me. Now I just can’t decide when to believe him anymore. Anyway all I care about in this election is keeping Hillary and Obama out of the White House. As soon as the election is over I think conservatives ought to get serious about creating a viable Conservative Party.
