What most Koolaid drinking Republicans don’t even have a clue is, the majority the Democrats will gain in this coming election, (Based on Gas Prices, Health Care and the Environment, not to mention the stupidity of the General Public.) will completely eliminate any hope for a Presidential veto.

But heck, don’t even worry there will be a veto from McCain in regards to any major Democrat agenda.

>>Moderates like Souter and Stevens? <<

So it’s better to let Hillary or Obama pick. Right??

I’m a registered Independent. Always have been. But given the choice of either Dem or McCain, I vote McCain.

I did the Perot deal. I won’t do it again.

Your tagline says it all.

Gee, I thought the same thing with Ross Perot. It worked really well.

He also voted for Alito and Roberts.

No, it makes little difference which of the three of them picks the justices. We’ll wind up getting about the same thing.

It would be better to let someone like Keyes pick them, someone who actually understands both the Constitution and the conservative philosophy. Neitehr McVain nor Hitlery nor Barry Osama understands either or has any respect for either.

You honestly think Keyes is going to win?
Really?

Well that splitting of votes sure did work in the past. Got us 8 years of Clinton. WooHoo.

This thread is about judicial activism and Supreme Court nominees, not your pet voting issue!

Ross Perot wasn’t a conservative. Keyes is.

And there was no challenger to the Dimmycraps from the left that year. There are two this year with soem name ID: Crazy Cynthia (”Do you know who I am?”) McKinney and Ralph (Harold Stassen) Nader.

>>Was it “winner take all” where he was the only liberal out of 8 candidates?<<

They pulled an Operation Chaos long before Rush called for it.

They voted McCain.

All I know is that we wound up with this sorry excuse for a Conservative, let alone Republican.

You’re not getting it.
Some Republicans will vote for the candidate no matter what, which means they will not vote for Keyes. I might. Hard Rs won’t. So they split.

If Obama makes it, all the Nader and McKinney voters go for him.

Keyes is great. I wish he had a chance. He doesn’t.

You honestly think Keyes is going to win?

If everyone who agrees with his views would vote for him rather than let themselves be scared into voting for a liberal like McVain, then I think he would have a chance.

That would only work if everyone who voted was required to know the candidates.

Most Americans can't take a break from American Idol and Dancing with the Stars long enough to know Keyes from any other person.

We are talking about the sheeple. They don't even know if they support him or not.

He also voted for Alito and Roberts.

Most on this thread don't want to hear that...they have their own agenda.

McAmnesty opposed Judge Sanual Alito

That is not true. McCain was one of Alito's most vocal supporters and pushed hard in the hearings for his confirmation.

What McCain said was that he would nominate low key jurists based on their judicial record, like Roberts, rather than someone based on their profile outside of the courts.

Bump!

I noted Fred Thompson on stage with McCain:
(undoubtedly he will have a job in the McCain Admin.)

Hopefully he'll be the guy advising him on judges ... He did a great job getting Roberts through ... imagine what he could do if he chose them too!
