PING! ;)
It’s not Thor,,
It’s The Mighty Thor .. ;-)
one of my faves
awesome. may i suggest a dr. strange movie?
BY TH' HOARY HAND O' HOGGARTH!
(OK, so it probably wouldn't have mass appeal. I just like sayin', "BY TH' HOARY HAND O' HOGGARTH!")
Iron Man was great.
My wife never heard of or read a comic book ever, and she loved the movie.
Robert Downey Jr. carried the day and the movie stood on it’s own without the comic book connection IMO.
The show I was at at 9:30 am Sunday was about 90% full.
The success was well deserved IMO.
Will this enhance my comic book collection/401k plan?
1. I hate giving my money to Hollywood, but I do have some Guilty Pleasures...
2. It's nice to see Stan Lee rebuild his nestegg YET AGAIN. The question is: how long will it be before he lets another pair of grifters steal it from him?

ANt Man will make a terrible movie, personally I think Dr. Pym was the whiniest and worst character ever. But his wife in the comic books was hot.
Hey, how about a Cloak and Dagger movie? I will now refrain from speculating on what voluptuous young thing would play Dagger, so that my wife doesn’t come by and smack me in the head.
In brightest day
In blackest night
No evil shall escape my sight
let those who worship evil’s might
beware my power, Green Lantern’s Light!
oh, sorry, I thought we were discussing REAL Comic Book Heroes..DC heroes!

Wow...everyone on this thread should be a consultant for Marvel and DC’s movies! Good choices...
Black Widow would be great...in her 1970s black costume as drawn by John Romita...I have the Bowen statue overlooking my desk here. Classic!
Iron Fist...a great concept but could be turned into camp if the wrong directors get their hands on it. The origin story is rich, dramatic and movie-worthy.
Green Lantern...with CGI today this could be limitless.
The Avengers...as long as it is a classic version...not whatever it is today.
I’d also go for Cloak & Dagger (good anti-drug message), Thor (Simonson), Starman (Robinson), Moon Knight (Moench & Sienkiewicz, not the junk of today) and Cap (but I echo the fear that they’ll turn him into a whiny liberal...ala United Nations G.I. Joe).
I never thought I’d see the day when comics consistently translate successfully to film...I had given up hope after David Hasselhoff as Nick Fury.
No offence to the comic fans but this just demonstrates how out of ideas the Hollywood types are. Pathetic...
I haven't seen it yet...
I am looking forward to Will Eisner’s The Spirit-last I checked, they said it would be in theaters May 2009.
Captain America has, like The Hulk, never been turned into a successful movie... I think maybe Hollywood has finally learned to treat the source material with respect and not kiddie it down, when it comes to doing super hero/comic based movies.
We’ll see if they continue it, or if Captain America revisited can join a history of flop attempts before it.
I look forward to seeing Iron Man, and The Dark Knight.

Having just watched a pirated version of the Incredible Hulk, on line, the next sequel will be the Iron Man vs. Incredible Hulk
