HOUSTON -- Congressman Ron Paul is considering using $4 million left over from his failed presidential campaign to start a for-profit publishing company that would reflect his Libertarian-leaning views. The move could test the limits of federal campaign finance rules.
Federal guidelines say the money cant be used for personal things like vacations and mortgage payments, but its not clear if he could use the money for a company that would produce educational material. Paul also has a potential gold mine in his mailing list, if he rents those names to interest groups or other campaigns.

I served in the Army in the 90's. Which branch have you served in?
That's the taxpayers responsibility.
I am a covenent partner for a 300 person church here in Texas. We could always use more help in getting together more things to send to Swaziland — tomorrow, we are going to be loading up a shipping container with a few odds and ends, you know, little sundries like:
1 ton+ of beans, 2+ tons of rice, sveral hundred school and hygience supply boxes for poor kids, a few hundred pairs of shoes, three tons of clothing, a few hundred pounds of furniture, that sort of thing. A chunk of that $4Mil would go a long way towards filling up more of that container and sending a larger team over there this fall to build a church, school, community center, and kids care facility in the worst slum in Manzini, Swaziland...
Just a thought. And a fine example of what a few hundred private citizens can do when they have the heart for it.
USMC
My thought exactly! You literally took the words off my keyboard.
