Eminent Psychiatrist Says Homosexuality is a Disorder that Can be Cured

BUENOS AIRES, May 1, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The eminent Spanish psychiatrist Enrique Rojas gave a speech yesterday in Buenos Aires declaring that homosexuality is "a clinical process that has an etiology, pathogeny, treatment, and cure".

Speaking at the Buenos Aires International Book Fair about his book "Goodbye, Depression", Rojas characterized homosexual orientation as a "disorder" rather than an illness, and stated his opinion that 95% of cases are caused by environmental factors, according to the Spanish news service Terra.

The disorder, according to Rojas, is the result of an absent father, overweening mother, or sexual abuse in childhood.

Rojas blasted the homosexual movement for promoting the development of homosexual tendencies in young people, and particularly condemned the practice of allowing homosexual couples to adopt children.

The child is deprived of a right to grow up "in a normal environment, heterosexual, which is the standard" he said. "Heterosexuality is what is normal, the natural condition of human beings."

According to studies from the United States, Canada, and New Zealand, there is a 70-80 percent chance that a child adopted by homosexuals will develop the same tendencies, Rojas said.

Rojas is the author of various books on psychology, including "Who Are You?", "The Light Man" and "Remedies for Coldness".

THIS is what needs to be taught in schools.

How can anyone schooled in science not believe that homosexuality is a disorder?

It is simply put, a mental malfunction which prohibits the desire to have reproductive sex. The scientific mystery is how it can survive at all. There should be no trait more self-eliminating from the gene pool than homosexuality.

I think there is also a mental malfunction in some people that prompts some people to engage in behavior that they find reprehensible and unnatural simply to gain acceptance.

Time was, any school that taught that homosexuality is normal and acceptable...would have been shut down. For starters.

How much press will this article get? My guess is zilch, zero, nada. Homosexual activists are as bad as Islamo fascists when it comes to their prophet, perversion. People must never allow that prophet to be exposed in truth.

Is stigma the same as disorder? The author definitely needs to be given a microphone, and a chance to speak from his ample experience.

How long before the rest of the psychiatric community shows up on his door step with pitchforks and torches? He obviously needs reeducation because the brainwashing never took.

Why can’t there be more like him?

I'm not so sure of that. In primitive times more so than now (not to say we aren't still primitive...) lesbians would have been made to reproduce regardless of their preferences.

But if the man is correct, it isn't really a matter of genetics anyway. Could be, the human brain is programmable in this regard, and certain early experiences tend to bring about bad results.

They need to do the “Clockwork Orange” eyeball thingy.

How about this..

An Antarctic fur seal has been observed trying to have sex with a king penguin.

The South African-based scientists who witnessed the incident say it is the most unusual case of mammal mating behaviour yet known. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7379554.stm

95% of cases are caused by environmental factors

Only 5% of homosexuals are born that way. The rest just get sucked into it.

"Rojas characterized homosexual orientation as a "...disorder" rather than an illness, and stated his opinion that 95% of cases are caused by environmental factors, according to the Spanish news service Terra."

"The disorder, according to Rojas, is the result of an absent father, overweening mother, or sexual abuse in childhood."

This may have been true fifteen years ago. Unfortunately, thanks to the Homosexual agenda in schools, all that has changed.

"Rojas blasted the homosexual movement for promoting the development of homosexual tendencies in young people, and particularly condemned the practice of allowing homosexual couples to adopt children."

They are going after the children on all fronts. From kindergarten to post grad, the gay agenda is in full court press.

There should be no trait more self-eliminating from the gene pool than homosexuality.

Which is exactly why they must recruit and parasitically feed on the rest of society in order to survive.

I'd change that to "to get attention", and then there is a name for it. Masochism.

I guess they missed “Nip Tuck” with Rosie having sex with a guy. I didn’t see it but it still sends shivers down my spine.

I'm not so sure of that. In primitive times more so than now (not to say we aren't still primitive...) lesbians would have been made to reproduce regardless of their preferences.

If you follow Darwinism, which puts great stock in minute differences, such a strong inclination against reproductive sex would be self-eliminating. After all, a stripeless tiger is still a deadly predator.

But if the man is correct, it isn't really a matter of genetics anyway. Could be, the human brain is programmable in this regard, and certain early experiences tend to bring about bad results.

There are people that get sexually fixated on a car. Programming is definitely possible. I certainly get the feeling that a lot of lesbians are just ugly women and/or liberals who are trying to prove how out of the mainstream they are.

As for homosexual men, I just don't get that. I can barely stand a proctology exam.

This would the key determinant in the argument. If the studies are there and legit, then the "gay gene" argument is pretty much trash.

In other words, the Catholic Church’s teaching has been correct all along. However, this won’t play well in San Francisco, among other places.

This is what rational people have advocated all along. Expect a huge backlash from the irrational liberals.
