I love the juxtaposition of video clips of Iraq and Berkely when a hippie claim that the marines make him feel like Berkely is being "occupied".
The ex-marine flips out flips out and when an old bearded hippie asks him what's wrong just he says, "oh my buzz, I'm getting a little wrecked". The old guy says "Right on man."
When a code pinker says its important to protect free speech so she can protest. He says, "If only there was an organization sworn to protect that free speech." She says "that would be great."
You can't make this stuff up.
Murtha is an Ex-Marine. This guy is a former Marine. There’s a huge difference.
As any large-handed Constitutional scholar will tell you.
Glad someone knows the difference. Recently some lefty lib type was arguing the wonderfulness of Murtha and ended by bringing up that he was a Marine Colonel.
My response was that Benedict Arnold had been Major General.

That’s funny.
Yea. That’s funny stuff. Man.
I love the end when the one Coder shuts down the other with jump in front of the camera and hollar move. The first one looks dazed and confused and finally joins the other to protest herself I guess.
Semper Fi, OM.
When were you in? I was early 60’s. Just caught the start of Viet Nam. Sounds like we both could use your screen name...:)
I spent my time controlling air support. Mostly in 1st MAW.
Hilarious!
I liked it, but it’d’ve been better if the disguise were less caricatured. Obviously the “real hippie” being interviewed knew that the interviewer was in a “costume.”
Still, very funny. The irony in the Code Pinker’s response stings!
This was posted soon after it aired and i’m glad to see it posted again. The best thing the Daily Show has ever produced.
I’m not so sure. Compared to the code-pink types he was pretty tame. Of course the real hippie may have thought he was in “costume” for the protests.
bttt

Absolutely hysterical.

Like, wow, man, you know?

Btw, Rob is a high school and old fraternity buddy of mine. Just saw him last weekend in Arlington at a sold out performance of his.
I would really like to have him hold my target at the shooting range next week.
I'm zeroing in a new Red Dot. Could be a lot of fun. ;)
I am getting ready to work up a nice, new parts .45. Do you think he would like to hold the hundred yard target?
Two tours in Nam. Went to Falklands with the Royal Marines with some "loaned weapons". Helped kick Saddam's bully boys outta Kuwait City and a couple of other bits and pieces here and there.
Lotsa different outfits but I always thought of the 5th Marines as home.
