RUSH: Mike in Warren, Ohio.
Nice to have you, sir, on the EIB Network.
CALLER: Oh, hi, Rush.
All right. I'm calling about Operation Chaos --
RUSH: Yes?
CALLER: -- which so far has been, you know, an incredible success. I don't need tell you that.
I just turned 18, and it was my first election, and I live in Ohio, and, you know, I voted for Clinton to throw off the whole Dems.
Basically my question is this. Since it's been so successful, what do you think...?
How do you think...?
You know, what can we do to prevent the Democrats from trying this, you know, on the Republicans?
RUSH: They've been doing it!
CALLER: You know, doing their own Operation Chaos in 2012.
RUSH: No, no, no, no!
This is a great question. You're 18?
CALLER: Yes.
RUSH: And so you have some things have happened, you were not old enough to pay close enough attention.
Who do you think picked John McCain as the Republican Party nominee?
You think Republicans picked him?
CALLER: I assume more liberal and mainstream Republicans would vote for him.
RUSH: No, no, no.
Do you think Republican primary voters nominated McCain?
CALLER: Probably more independents.
RUSH: Uh-huh. And Democrats crossing over in places like New Hampshire, it was Michigan in 2000.
The Democrat Party chose our nominee.
They didn't put him over the top, but they gave him the early lead in the early states where there were not a whole lot of conservative Republicans in these early primary states.
The Democrats have been doing this as long as I have been alive and longer.
This is balance! This is us playing by their rules.
To worry about if they turn it around?
They have never been this effective.
Well, they have, but they've had the whole Drive-By Media urging voters to do this and getting their message out.
We are but one show, and we have equaled and surpassed their efforts in the past.
Fear not on this.

Read the Background Material...
Yeah, we need to call an audible.
Too late. We are in for a rough ride.
we need to work with who we have for God’s sakes. And McCain’s fiscal retraining history is very much needed as we will not have a country left if the wreckless spending continues.
I wish Rush wouldn’t promote cigar smoking on his site. I know that one once in a while is no big deal, but those are pretty bad for your health and can produce some awefull mouth cancer.
Bingo! There needs to be a full on revolt at the convention. I wish delegates would start firming up a plan to get this goat out of the way, so we can run a real Conservative.
According to some of the posters here on FreeRepublic, Ron Paul's support came mostly from Democrats (or George Soros).
I have trouble believing the Democrats are a)that numerous; b)that powerful; c)that concerned about another political party when their own is in such disarray.
Let's place the blame where it belongs where McCain is concerned. It was the Republican leadership, such as it is, and not the Republican grass-roots activists, who dropped the ball and let this RINO get the idea that he had vast support in the party when he clearly did not, until the others had dropped out.
It's too late now. Regardless of whom the Democrats nominate, McCain is bound for an embarassing defeat come November. The question is how many incumbent Republicans will be pulled down with him.
Start working on Congress. . .that will help McCain. . .and the rest of the Country, a great deal. He will need some good influences; up to Conservatives to make sure he gets them.
It's futile but whom do you suggest?
I’ve been studying his wife recently, and she’s just too weird to be First Lady.
I appreciate the thought Cricket, but if you are under the impression that McCain is going to listen to anyone, I think you’re in for a rough four years. He is going to be doing the dictating.
Good question. I would suggest Hunter.
Our talk show hosts often mention the power they have in getting the word out. They were promoting Rudy, Huck and Romney. They purposely left out the names of all others that they said were not in the top three even though Hunter at one time was. While Hunter was in the top three, Fox News, kept him out of the debate.
They do have power and they blew it. I will not vote for McCain.
Granted, McCain isn't the ideal candidate. But he'll have to do in order to avoid the worst possible outcome: President Hillary Clinton or President Obama.
I’ve heard some strange stuff about her, but I haven’t really paid much attention. My emphasis has been on John. I probably should have tuned into the things that caused you to make this comment.
I appreciate the comments Hal9000. I know it’s hard for some folks to understand, but I think John is the real nightmare.
Hillary and Obama, we unite to oppose.
McCain passes about 80% of what they would with no opposition whatsoever.
Who is going to unite against him? I can’t see one single entity that will. Hell, the guy is going to propose or support more leftist programs over the next four years, than Kennedy has passed in his entire lifetime.
“we need to work with who we have for Gods sakes. And McCains fiscal retraining history is very much needed as we will not have a country left if the wreckless spending continues.”
Yes, you’re exactly right, so let’s get over it and get TO it! It’s the hand we’ve been dealt, I truly believe (based on many past experiences), that it will be quite a bit better than we initially feared.
C’mon, His wife is classy.
McCain may not be the best we have but he’s the candidate.
Far better than any of the two democrats.
If McCain maintains the status quo and supports our military we’ve got a winner.
You want Michelle Obama or Bill as first lady?
Ugh. Michelle Obama... the hater of the U.S.A.
Same here.
And you base that on what?
The rumors are now fast and furious that he will choose Condoleeza the Appeazza, as VP... in which case I am REALLY going to have to struggle to hold down my barf.
