The D.C. Chapter's Tenth Annual FReep of the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) Dinner took place on Saturday afternoon and evening on April 26, 2008.
In attendance were Kristinn, Staytrue, gunsareok, Doctor Raoul, Jimmy Valentines Brother, Angelwood, Mrs. Trooprally, BufordP, bmwcycle, Rongkirby, Discodave, Dinosour.
Our theme was "An Inconvenient Truth" where we pointed out many truths the media may find inconvenient.
I think pictures and videos do a better job of reporting than a narrative so here they are. (all photos are courtesy of Mrs. Trooprally).
First up is Doctor Raoul and JVB manning their customary position on the Northeast corner of T and Connecticut.
Next is a picture of Gunsareok, Kristinn, Dinosour, and Discodave.
Next is a picture of a young lady who liked this sign and had her friend take a picture of her, the sign and myself. I found many people on the left, the right and the center commenting to me, that they agreed with this sign. The point is the media often focuses on "the politics of personal destruction" (eg. Bush DUI, George Allen's macaca moment, Kerry and botox, Hillary and sniper fire, the DC madam story, etc.) more than the big issues facing this country (social security reform, trade deficit, medicare bankruptcy, disparity in income, energy independence, etc.).
Next up is a photo of Guns and an old friend who happens to be a powerline blogger.
Video of Guns and old friend.
There were the usual host of celebrities who walked by, like Boyden Gray, Morgan Fairchild, Tracy Ulman, Brett Baier, Salman Rushdie, George Allen, Rush Limbaugh, Bill Press, Peggy Noonan, Armstrong Williams, Larry King, Dee Dee Myers, and Sam Donaldson.
The news reports and Cspan also lists a bunch of people who may have walked by, but unfortunately, we are just not hip enough to recognize who they are (like Perez Hilton (who?), and a bunch of other young guns).
Here are some more video and stills.
Sam Donaldson (and yes, I think those ladies are with him, wife and daughter ? I don't know.)
Salman Rushdie (I don't know who the woman is but "very nice" seems to apply)
Brett Baier
Video: Brett Baier greets the DCchapter.com reception line.
Video: Blanquita Cullum, a long time friend of the DCchapter.com who has spoken at many "Support The Troops" rallies.
Video: Armstrong Williams meets the DCchapter.com reception line.
Video: Bill Press walks by.
Video: Peggy Noonan walks by.
Video: Gratuitous male eye candy (yes Buford, I got her on tape).
Video: Some of the signs we used.
So next year we will have twice as many people there.

I just rated your “red dress” YouTube video “0”.
LOL. But “Noonan” looks pretty hot!
When I clicked on Noonan I got Armstrong Williams instead. So I rated that a “0” too.
When I clicked on Armstrong Williams I STILL got Armstrong Williams. 0!
That aside - thanks for getting all of this stuff up on the web. And for spending all that time out on the street. It looks like quite a few of the Freepers are “in the loop” which is cool.
5 STARS!
You LIAR!
Hey, I didn't know that my wife was there...
Obligatory Jon Lovitz joke...
Wait a minute staytrue, where’s trooprally’s photo of Pam Anderson climbing out of the limo? I hear she caused quite a stir at the Willard Hotel earlier in the day.
Doctor Raoul was telling folks that he hoped that they would survive the layoffs and that he’d see them next year. He also jokingly said that the NY Times had cancelled the last twenty seats not realizing that the Times had not bought one table.
Doc also asked the limo drivers how the tips were - the Press is notoriously cheap and they did nothing to disprove that impression during their big night on the town.
here are all Mrs. Trooprally’s photos

Pamela’s photo may have been fuzzy or maybe I did not recognize her. But you can search through them and post it if you find it.
He didn’t even mention what happened when Howard Dean stepped out of his SUV limo.
