WooHoo...thanks, fatima, for tonight’s thread. ((HUGS))
Off the top of my head, I’d have to say “Walking on Sunshine”. It’s just a fun little song.
“Saturday in the Park”, by Chicago, 1973.
Summer Song-Joe Satriani
Jane Welsh, secretary to Scottish essayist Thomas Carlyle (17951881), married him and devoted her life to him and his work. He loved her deeply but was so busy with his writing and speaking that he often neglected her. Some time into their marriage, she became ill and suddenly died.
In a new book by John Ortberg, I read that after the funeral Thomas went alone to Janes room and looked at her diary. He found these words she had written about him: Yesterday he spent an hour with me and it was like heaven. I love him so. On another day, she wrote, I have listened all day to hear his steps in the hall, but now it is late. I guess he will not come today. He wept brokenly, realizing his neglect of her and her desire just to talk with him.
As I read that, I couldnt help but think, God loves me dearly and waits for me to fellowship with Him. How many days do I forget Him?
The Lord welcomes our worship, our prayer, our praise. He has told us in His Word to pray all the time (1 Thess. 5:17). As He did with the church in Laodicea in Revelation 3, Christ knocks on the door of our heart and patiently waits (v.20). He listens attentively for our call, our cry, our prayer. How often does He wait in vain?

Summertime child and the livings easy
Catfish are jumping and the cotton is high
Your daddy's rich and your momma’s good looking
so child don't you cry.
One of these mornings child your gonna rise up singing
You're gonna spread your wings and fly.
Until that morning Honey nothing is gonna harm you baby
nothing is ever gonna let you down
Baby baby baby, no no no don't you cry.

The Jamies
It's summertime, summertime
Sum, sum, summertime
Summertime, summertime
Sum, sum, summertime
Summertime, summertime
Sum, sum, summertime
Summertime, summertime
Sum, sum, summertime, summertime
Well, shut them books and throw 'em away
And say goodbye to dull school days
Look alive and change your ways
It's summertime
Well, no more studying history
And no more reading geography
And no more dull geometry
Because it's summertime
It's time to head straight for them hills
It's time to live and have some thrills
Come along and have a ball
A regular or free-for-all
Well, are you comin' or are you stayin
You saw it first and I won't complain
Hurry up before I change
It's summertime
Well, I'm so happy that I could flip
Oh, how I'd love to take a trip
I'm sorry teacher but zip your lip
Because it's summertime
It's time to head straight for them hills
It's time to live and have some thrills
Come along and have a ball
A regular or free-for-all
Well we'll go swimmin' every day
No time to work just time to play
If your folks complain just say
It's summertime
And every night we'll have a dance
'Cause what's a vacation without romance
Oh man this jive gets me in a trance
Because it's summertime
It's time to head straight for them hills
It's time to live and have some thrills
Come along and have a ball
A regular or free-for-all
It's summertime
It's summertime, summertime
Sum, sum summertime
Summertime, summertime
Sum, sum summertime
Summertime, summertime
Sum, sum, summertime
Summertime, summertime
Sum, sum, summertime
Summertime
It's summertime
