A woman who claimed that she is allergic to her ex-husband's cat cannot prevent their two children from visiting their father's home, a Long Island, N.Y., judge has ruled.

That’s not unusual. Allergic reaction to animals can vary depending on the animal.
Just curious--do you find you are allergic to certain breeds, or just certain neighborhood all purpose types? I know there are some almost hairless cats like the Sphynx that some allergic people tolerate quite well, and also other breeds like the British Shorthair who don't seem to shed much at all.
That'd be a good name for a rock band, and an even better screen name.
now, I'm going to seriously hope no one posts a CD cover from Allergen's first album, and further that they don't ping allergen to it.

Hmmmm....mine's a little close to that....LOL
You’re in a band?
Oh no it’s not. I’ve seen that one before. smoking, allergies, asthma, skin diseases, etc. etc.
LOL - believe it or not, I was in a couple of them in the 80s and early 90s. ;-)
I LOVE being on vacation!
Coincidence...?
That's in your world which is shrinking rapidly. I know this person who thinks the world should stop because one of her children has some mild food allergies. She gets snippy with her in-laws because they don't plan family gatherings around this child. Unfortunately, more and more people are becoming like her. (OTOH, she has some medical conditions that she's learned to manipulate. Performance art.)
I’ll generally accomodate family. My niece is deathly allergic to birds, so she doesn’t even come to our house. She and I found that out the hard way. We see her at mom’s place.
My son’s a vegan. (He’s normal in every other way as far as I can tell :o). When he comes over, we have vegan spaghetti with meatballs and cheese on the side, or build your own tacos with the meat and cheese on the side... it’s really no biggie, and it’s no extra work or cost.
However, comma, when our tax dollars start getting sunk into lowering our society to the lowest common denominator, it just pisses me off. Businesses being shut down because they can’t afford to remodel the whole establishment for wheelchairs... hell, why not full sized gurneys... invalids have rights too! ... and my favorite... sweat lodges in the prison!
How about every house built from now on has to have ramp and elevator access? Outlaw peanuts and cats! Oh, and birds! ... and smoking. ... and cars. Cradle to grave nanny state. The gubermint is only in the business of spending your money. It’s beyond help.
