Fred was the only candidate who said he wasn’t seeking the presidency for his own personal reasons, but felt he owed something back to the country. Despite his perceived “lack of enthusiasm” during the primaries that statement was music to my ears.

Since losing the South Carolina primary on Jan. 18, Thompson has been absent from the limelight-even choosing to drop out of the race via written statement. Actually, he was absent before losing SC. His one brief little moment of success was a good line in the SC debate, wasn't it? But Huckabee ran circles around tired old Fred.
