Well, if the MSM and so many Americans gave Hillary a "pass" for forgetting so much about her scandals, my guess is that Obama will simply "not remember".

That does not necessarily make it go away, but that is what they will try.

PDF’d copies of the documents would be helpful since all the media could then ask all their stupid questions about it before admitting that it didn’t make sense on its face and something hinky is indicated.

But without being able to see the documents, this is all hearsay and nobody in the MSM will pick up on it. Not even Sean Hannity (who would beat this like a rented mule).
