My conclusion was this was just more of Karl Rove trading short term political gain (signing a bipartition bill with democrats) for long term political disaster. In this case, ethanol without domestic drilling, anybody see a trade deficit? Add this to No Child, Free drugs for seniors, and almost immigration reform. Democrats get to throw blame for all the bad effects on, guess who? Bush!
