Though not against foreign investment, Stall said, A foreign company does not respond to public pressure like a domestic corporation does. Cintra-Zachry is traded on the Spanish stock market in Madrid, he said. Theres no pressure that Texans could bring as a community to cause social responsibility, or a change in company policy based on public discontent. With a domestic company, if consumers didnt like what it was doing, they could protest, they could go to the companys headquarters, they could put pressure on its stockholders, and affect a change. However, according to Stall, the Texas governor is involved in clandestine deals in smoky back rooms that elude the public conscience. It's starting to sound like 1836 all over again.

It will create a barrier.
Our government has no problem creating a barrier here, but has a problem creating a barrier on the border where it is most needed. I am really POed about this TTC stuff.

I’m still trying to find out who or what will control the easements along the TTC.
Anyone have a link to find the answer?
I suspect one will find a lot of dirty money swirling around the easement issue.

“The Panama Canal is being widened and deepened, and trade from China is going to come through the Panama Canal, and the first ports that they are going to get to in the United States are Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Houston and Beaumont,” he said. This is laughable. Every port on the Gulf coast east of New Orleans is closer to the Panama Canal that are any of the ports in Texas. This guy needs to look at a map.

Money is not the most important thing in life. I think most Texans would agree that these plans will take away much more than they will ever give back.
Perry, Bush, Spain China, Mexico and Globalization can take a hike.

It is simply amazing to me that this country does nothing about illegal immigrants.
