I’m still trying to find out who or what will control the easements along the TTC.

Anyone have a link to find the answer?

I suspect one will find a lot of dirty money swirling around the easement issue.

Control of easments is a good point but I’m not sure if it matters unless there is enough land to put businesses on. Then their value is reduced by the fact that you have to pay to get to them. This leads to the main reason why toll roads are a net loser. Compared to non-toll roads, the value POTENTIAL of the land ajoining them is much less. The land next to a toll road is less desireable for business than an easy-on-easy-off free highway paralleled by feeder roads. The toll road either needs to drastically limit access (with the toll booths at the entrances and exits) or it needs to have alot of toll booths on the road itself which slow down the overall flow of traffic. The free road will eventually produce much more tax revenue than the toll road due to a greater increase in the tax base around the free road.
