This prison is majority Muslim -- as is virtually every house of incarceration in France. About 60 to 70 percent of all inmates in the country's prison system are Muslim, according to Muslim leaders, sociologists and researchers, though Muslims make up only about 12 percent of the country's population.
On a continent where immigrants and the children of immigrants are disproportionately represented in almost every prison system, the French figures are the most marked, according to researchers, criminologists and Muslim leaders.
"The high percentage of Muslims in prisons is a direct consequence of the failure of the integration of minorities in France," said Moussa Khedimellah, a sociologist who has spent several years conducting research on Muslims in the French penal system. It is time for France to rediscover Madame Martyr Maker. She will be a tad rusty now, but with a bit of sharpening and a few days of steady use, France should be able to even up the prison stats to a more acceptable level.
Just like here. They refuse to admit that the people in prison commit crimes at a greater rate than their percentage of the population.
Part of this problem could have been avoided if the Europeans embraced birth control and abortion and stopped having children. Many, if not all, the European countries are below replacement level. The Muslims are having large families, and they are moving in to filling the decreasing European population.

Does anyone else find it ironic that muslim criminals - apparently muslim before, during, and after their crimes - are called "the Muslim faithful"?
The reason for this is very simple. Unlike other populations groups that immigrate, the Muslims are not interested in integrating in the society that they move into. Their goal is to change that society to fit their 7th century way of life. Thus a clash that results in high incarceration, civil strife and eventually war.

MOST CAME WITH THE CLOTHES ON THEIR BACKS AND HAD LITTLE OR NO ASSISTANCE FROM ANYONE, YET MANAGED TO "ASSIMILATE" AND WORKED VERY HARD TO PROVIDE A BETTER LIFE FOR THEIR CHILDREN, WHICH BY THE 1ST AND 2ND GENERATIONS, HAD OVERCOME MOST OBSTACLES AND BECOME PRODUCTIVE AND USEFUL CITIZENS

If you were to visit a foreign country without knowledge of their legal system, how many laws would you break? That is the innocent side of it. The guilty side would be, LORD OF THE FLIES mentality for those who immigrate to a democratic/republic/socialist foreign country and are now FREE to do as they want, because they have no fear of having their right hand chopped off, or their father killing them for talking to a stranger in public. Or, their native land gave them free transport to Europe to get rid of their sorry ... because they already have a record (if they keep records) in their homeland. Like the Latinos we have here, taking advantage of a once civilized culture. Peace is brought about by strict disciplinary laws. But the people have to understand the laws, and the consequences must be enforced consistently and fairly.

We’re seeing it now in Dearborn Mi where mosques now broadcast the call to prayer over a loudspeaker.
We’re seeing it now in prisons where Muslims are demanding halal meals.
And eventually we’ll see it in our court system when a Muslim (charged with a crime) appears in front a judge and says “I don’t accept the American style of justice. I only recognize sharia law. I expect to be judged under sharia law”.
The ACLU will jump all over a case like this and they’ll find some liberal judge who’ll say “Gosh, the defendant is right. How Euro-centric of us to judge this man by western standards of law! We’re obviously insensitive to his religious beliefs”.
And thus (if appeals fail) we will end up with a two-tier system of justice, one for Muslims and one for the rest of us.
