Good afternoon Beachie.....glad your rain finally went away! *Hugs*
It is kind of windy here this afternoon. Temps are running in the low 80's.
BTW,folks a little update regarding Microsoft Windows. Today was scheduled to be the day that Microsoft would release XP SP 3.
However, due to some compatibiluty issues they have now decided to delay the release of XP SP 3 to a later date.
There are a number of ongoing thread on this subject right now here at FR. You can get all the details by typing in Windows XP in the "titles" section in the search box.
Thanks, E. for the update information...Service Pack 3? Am I gonna like this? Does it have good stuff I should pay attention to?
I guess I should find a thread and read.
Well, it may have some good stuff. Noone really knows. You can find out more on the XP threads.:-D
Day is done and was it slow. YUUUCCCKK!
How’s yours?
OH! Remember my telling you last night about the new toilets at work and the instructions on how to flush?
Hehehehehe,.. well,.. the plumbers put two of them in reversed, so instead up for liquid and down for solids it’s just the opposite!
Hehehehehehe,.. Murphy’s Law strikes again!
Good evening everyone.
Kathy you have FReepmail that’s very important.
For those of us that grew up in the Army clothed in BDU’s or Battle Dress Uniforms...tomorrow is a sad day.
Tomorrow...30 April 2008...is the final day that BDU’s...brown t-shirts...black boots and black belts can be worn by soldiers.
*sniff*
I almost never get to listen to Rush. I just get the e-mail updates.
Good evening Tx....so what will be issued to wear instead?
What we’ve been wearing for the last couple of years...the Army Combat Uniform.
Answered with an additional question.
What will your new attire consist of?
*Yawn*
*Blink*
Hiya Ma!
Just woke up from a nap..
HJ.....#300!!
Dave.....#350!!
Oh no!!! I see some very upset users of said new fancy toilets. And plumbers with instructions to “GET IT RIGHT”!!!!
SWAMPED! SWAMPED! SWAMPED!! Gonna be here a good long while, and come in at 7a, because of late time that still isn’t here.
OUCH!!!
“Here’s a shot of a mock-up of the Bowfin’s control room with periscope and fire control systems. The panel on the near left is the (I believe) Torpedo Data Computer (TDC) used to calculate range, bearing, run time, and other data for the torpedo to ensure a hit. As you can see, it’s very cramped in there!”
You’re right, that is the TDC.
The conning tower, not the control room. The control room is below the conning tower. The conning tower is in the “sail” and if seen on a drawing it would look very much like a “rounded-edged” barrel.
