For those of us that grew up in the Army clothed in BDU’s or Battle Dress Uniforms...tomorrow is a sad day.

Tomorrow...30 April 2008...is the final day that BDU’s...brown t-shirts...black boots and black belts can be worn by soldiers.

Thanks txradioguy. I will miss the BDU. I don't like the ACU because of all the Velcro. It sticks to everything.

I have been through several uniforms in my 35+ years. The old “green banana” uniform was my favorite.

If they would have used a brown tee shirt instead of the white one, I think it would have lasted longer.

The jungle was the worst up until the ACU. The slanted pockets were not solider friendly.
