AP Poll: Clinton leads McCain, doing better than Obama (Rush Will get Hillary Elected President)

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Hillary Rodham Clinton now leads John McCain by 9 points in a head-to-head presidential matchup, according to an Associated Press-Ipsos poll that bolsters her argument that she is more electable than Democratic rival Barack Obama.

The survey released Monday gives the New York senator and former first lady a fresh talking point as she works to raise much-needed campaign cash and persuade pivotal undecided superdelegates to side with her in the drawn-out Democratic primary fight.

Helped by independents, young people and seniors, Clinton gained ground this month in a hypothetical match with Sen. McCain, the GOP nominee-in-waiting. She now leads McCain, 50 percent to 41 percent, while Obama remains virtually tied with McCain, 46 percent to 44 percent.

Both Democrats were roughly even with McCain in the previous poll about three weeks ago.

Since then, Clinton won the Pennsylvania primary, raising questions anew about whether Obama can attract broad swaths of voters needed to triumph in such big states come the fall when the Democratic nominee will go up against McCain.

Added Steve Lombardo, a GOP pollster: "This just reinforces the sentiment that a lot of Republican strategists are having right now -- that Clinton might actually be the more formidable fall candidate for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is that Obama can't seem to get his footing back."

I'm sure it will warn Rush's heart that he has a chance to regain your benevolence.

Redeemed himself as a strategist.

“AP Poll: Clinton leads McCain, doing better than Obama (Rush Will get Hillary Elected President)”

Bull(bleep) Being an old, weak, spineless liberal on McBoobs’ part will get Hillary elected. Everytime the line between conservative and liberal gets blurred, the GOP takes it in the shorts. This is fixin’ to be another one of those times.

Fear as a movitation to vote FOR someone has been proven flawed over and over again.

Fear seems to be the only thing mclame has on his side, for some at least. If we let fear consistently determine our decisions we may as well throw in the towel and become libs (perish the thought).

If voting against abortion, military retreat, homosexual degradation, criminal coddling and high taxes is being a sheep than baaa baah black sheep.

I can live with that.

How can you live with voting for Hillary or Obama? They are both scum.

In Operation Chaos, we did not foresee coming down the road that Obama would throw Wright off the planet...

Remember, I'm in Australia, I do not listen to Rush, but reading about it on FR, I was about to say...

Obama was finally forced to 'throw Wright off the planet' because Wright is a narcissist to whom only his own position and importance is of any value. Wright has his followers, his mansion, his 10 million line of credit from the 'church' (nice cash-flow!) What use is obama to him? From the moment obama told Wright he might have to distance himself from his 'pastor' the writing was on the wall. Obama might have been useful as a donor, but as the Dem candidate he became a liability to Trinity...and Trinity became a liability to obama...because Wright, the classic narcissist would interpret obama's ambition and success as a threat - stealing the 'reverend's limelight! No one DARE to be bigger or 'better' than a narcissist! (And when a narcissist exacts revenge, it's incredibly disproportionate - like killing an ant with a hammer.)

Wright was always a potential threat to obama because of Wright's massive ego...I ask myself, why did Wright leave access to the d*mning videos on the Trinity website? Answer: Because his 'ministry' (cash-cow and power) was more important to him than anything obama might have to offer. If Wright had always been in obama's pocket, the first thing he would have done is remove the videos from the Trinity website.

I understand narcissism. The bigger obama's following, the bigger the crowds, the more unreasonably jealous Wright would have become. He wasn't going to allow an upstart (whom Wright would know very well, was NOT an african-american,) upstage him, to use the 'church' as a cover.

I think there's been a power-struggle between Wright and obama at Trinity for a considerable time, and obama lost it.

I found this excerpt from Wright's rant (posted by a Freeper) rather telling:

“Please run and tell my stuck on stupid friends that Arabic is a language, it’s not a religion. Barack Hussein Obama. Barack Hussein Obama. Barack Hussein Obama. They are Arabic-speaking Christians, Arabic-speaking Jews and Arabic speaking atheists. Arabic is a language, it’s not a religion. Stop trying to scare folks by giving them an Arabic name as if it’s some sort of a disease.”

What did he mean by this? Was he calling obama an ARAB? Wright obviously knows which way the wind blows, Wright will, above all else, remain 'faithful' to his BLACK THEOLOGY...and obama, with his arab heritage, was nothing but an interloper at Trinity.

that's my two cents worth...a bit garbled, but I'm RUSHED!

Rush is the left’s number one enemy in the media and you would think ,by some of the post here, he is the number one enemy for conservatives

Hey. Based on Rush's latest few months on air....may he reap what he sows.

Conservatives do not support a Clinton....EVER!

Unfortunately, there is-and has always been-a sizeable contingent of Freepers that don't tolerate any conservative who fails to march in lockstep with what that contingent considers sufficiently "pure."

True enough. But, what has your comment to do with Freepers being unhappy with Rush Limbaugh, the "conservative" icon, doing all he can to help Mrs. Clinton win the nomination and the WH?

Please, don't repeat his spin in your answer.

Thanks.

I don’t know if you’ve heard or not but Hillary is not that popular in her party. She is being soundly beaten by a rooky. She will not be the Democrats nominee. She is too conservative for the left looneys who run the Democrat party. The super delegates are going with Obama. They do not want a riot in Denver which is what they will have if they go with Hillary. So settle back into your recliner and enjoy the show.

Not voting for Mac is giving a vote for one of the two fiends. You didn’t have to say it.

Not to mention, I question the agenda of anyone that would come on a Republican website and try to demoralize Republican voters from voting for the Republican nominee.

This isn't a "republican website". It's a forum for CONSERVATIVES. McCain can pound sand.

I say he’s only concerned about the rash of calls/letters/e-mails he’s been getting from Clinton haters on this, and forsees a bunch of pissed=off people turning him off if they wind up getting in the WH again. It doesn’t even matter now if KAOS has had any effect at all (and I say it absolutely gave her a win in Texas and increased her leads in Ohio and PA)-he’s stuck with it because it’s percieved that he did. So now, he’s trying to backtrack. I don’t know about you, But I’m sure getting sick and tired of the arrogant ba$tards on here knockingevery comment we make, I see there’s another talk radio bot right after your post.

You know, the adoring, unquestioning adulation some here have for Ingraham, Limbaugh, Hannity, Levine, etc;can only be compared by me to one thing. Way back when I was a teenager in the fifties, Dick Clark and all radio/tv disc jockeys who ushered in rock and roll were seen by us as Gods and could do no wrong. It’s the same thing-hero worship, with no regard for feet of clay.

I wonder if it could actually be something that simple? I know I’ve posted a picture of the burning WACO compound here a few times and mentioned innocent women and children being burned alive, and it’s been totally ignored and I’ll then be attacked. So you could be dead on-they just weren’t old enough to care or remember. It would be interesting to take a poll on it, but the radio bots would never stand for it in all probability. I know I remember the absolute worst presidency and the daily smirking/grinning of the freak show/lesbian brigade that was their administration-EVERY DAY OF IT. And I can’t take even the thought of another eight years. Carville, Shelela, Lanny Davis, McCaullife, Reno, Dee Dee Myers, Reich the Dwarf, on and on.

I cannot make my qualms about mcpain any clearer than I already have, I agree that Obama and Hillary are as you say, and I am polite enough to ignore your uncalled for, snide “PMS” comment.

Ooops, I meant “PS”

didn’t I?
