AP Poll: Clinton leads McCain, doing better than Obama (Rush Will get Hillary Elected President)

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Hillary Rodham Clinton now leads John McCain by 9 points in a head-to-head presidential matchup, according to an Associated Press-Ipsos poll that bolsters her argument that she is more electable than Democratic rival Barack Obama.

The survey released Monday gives the New York senator and former first lady a fresh talking point as she works to raise much-needed campaign cash and persuade pivotal undecided superdelegates to side with her in the drawn-out Democratic primary fight.

Helped by independents, young people and seniors, Clinton gained ground this month in a hypothetical match with Sen. McCain, the GOP nominee-in-waiting. She now leads McCain, 50 percent to 41 percent, while Obama remains virtually tied with McCain, 46 percent to 44 percent.

Both Democrats were roughly even with McCain in the previous poll about three weeks ago.

Since then, Clinton won the Pennsylvania primary, raising questions anew about whether Obama can attract broad swaths of voters needed to triumph in such big states come the fall when the Democratic nominee will go up against McCain.

Added Steve Lombardo, a GOP pollster: "This just reinforces the sentiment that a lot of Republican strategists are having right now -- that Clinton might actually be the more formidable fall candidate for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is that Obama can't seem to get his footing back."

While I'll take the rest under advisement, I've always though the recent blanket demand,

"SPEAK NO ILL OF YOUR FELLOW REPUBLICANS"

To be asinine at the very least.

If you can not be critical of those who deserve it, your own party or others, then your voice means nothing. All that matters is your vote bought at the cheapest possible price and then discarded at leisure. You're nothing but a warm body being used to satisfy another's basest needs.

I'm no whore and I'll not be treated as such.

I'm willing to bet Ronald Reagan had no such intent when he said that, but his words are being twisted to silence those who others just want to use for their own ends.

Not going to happen.

"1.) SPEAK NO ILL OF YOUR FELLOW REPUBLICANS

In this situation, I propose modifying the application of the rule as follows:"

Once you "modify" the rules, they lose their meaning. Look how the left shreded the Constitution to near meaninglessness. THAT'S what you ask us to follow?

"2.) Trust NO Democrat - not their words, not their actions, not their motives, not their past, present, nor proposed future voting record (Zell Miller shall be honorably excepted from this rule)."

Since YOU get to have exceptions to "the rules", then MCLAME SHALL BE HONORABLY EXCEPTED FROM RULE #1 SINCE HE IS TRULY A DEMOCRAT.

"The important thing is that regardless of whether the opponent is the vapid idiot or the frigid ice queen, we vote for Mac. Its not anymore complicated than that."

If you want to be a sheep led to slaughter, go right ahead. I'm just not going to follow. Voting for mclame is the easy way out, it's path is bright and shiny, very well lit, no bumps in the road and easy on the knees.

McCain is a Democrat. McCain is willing to sell out this country - he even voted against the Cronyn amendment. McCain abandoned our POW.

“I know! Seems there are two types of freepers, those who consider a Clinton re-presidency unthinkable and the rest who consider it as ‘oh-well’able.”

I think it breaks down by age group. Those of us who had to endure 8 years of lies, fraud, treason, character assasination, sleaze and villification, will do anything to prevent a recurrance. Those who became politically aware post-KKKlinton have no idea how bad it was.

““The point you are missing is that we are finding out this information because of Operation Chaos.””

“This same information could have been exposed AFTER Obama had secured the nomination.”

You are exactly right. The Wright info came out well before the PA primary and before Operation Jackazz. It was obvious that there were plenty more tapes and damaging info yet to come. The brilliant talk show hosts just couldnt hold their fire long enough to let the RATS get stuck with a critically wounded candidate. They blew their wad too soon and now the Wright story will be old news by election day. Obama is now so damaged that Hellary is surging, a nightmare come true. The ignorant fools who support operation Jackazz continue to ignore the warnings and are busy trying to rationalize their resurrection of Hellary. If she gets elected there will be a special circle in He!! for them.

Thanks, man. :^) I get so damned sick of these talk radio bots that think playing with the future of the country is cute-but they’ll never listen. I have to admit I didn’t come up with the tagline all by myself-Arkinsaw used a line that was similar in one of his posts-I changed it a little and condensed it. I believe everybody that’s having those stupid wet dreams about riots and blood in the streets is in for a rude awakening. The dems and the media will circle the wagons and gather behind whoever the nominee is so fast it’ll make their heads spin. Their hatred of us and Bush is stronger than the hatred for each other, and they’re going to find that out.

“I know! Seems there are two types of freepers, those who consider a Clinton re-presidency unthinkable and the rest who consider it as ‘oh-well’able.”

Excellent post. That explains it in a nutshell.I am one of those who would hate to see the Clintons in the WH again. I am voting for McCain but if it had to be a democrat I’d rather see Gore, Kerry or Obama. At least we wouldn’t have to worry about corruption and lecherous behavior again. Heck even Jimmy Carter was better than the Clintons.

Rush is making a killing selling “Operation Chaos” t-shirts.
Suppose you tell us how many he's sold. ............. Suggest you ask his accountant or ask Rush to post it on his web site. The statement didn't originate on my post.

"Seems there are two types of freepers, those who consider a Clinton re-presidency unthinkable and the rest who consider it as ‘oh-well’able.”

Count me solidly in the first category. THE absolute worst outcome to me is another Clinton POTUS and Limbaugh's Operation Chaos shenanigans might very well make this possible.

Obama is the beatable candidate, as recent disclosures of his real underpinnings show. This despite the Reps meager opposition in the form of McCain.

IMO we need to put a stake in Mill once and for all, and now! The risk of fooling around and having it backfire is just too great.

You must not remember 1964 real well. Try to remember the little girl picking daisys with the countdown going on in the background. Try to remember Bill Moyer’s absolute lie about Barry which to this day he has never apologized for. I know your type,it is don’t confuse me with facts. My mind is made up. Goodbye.

You are just another, “Don’t confuse me with facts, my mind is made up.” type. Only in your opinion is Rush wrong. Therefore you consider yourself the political expert and have determined that Rush should be doing what you advocate because it is your OPINION, not facts that make you spout off like this.

It is my opinion, and from the looks of it, the opinion of many others here that you really are confused. We might as well be talking to a tree. Stay with your OPINION and see where it gets you. Goodbye.

You're right, but that wasn't at all clear from the way you formatted your post. My mistake.

"The Clintons are playing Rush and a sizeable contingent of Freepers like a fiddle. "

How nice of you to get Rush and the FR "sizeable contingent" all straightened out on what the real truth is...please advise us all when your daily program begins.

I called Rush and told him of your insight, and he's turning out the lights as we speak, and selling the golden EIB microphone on eBay.

You should call Dean, and he'd probably fire obama and clinton and put you in as the dem candidate for this year.

But on the bright side, Rush is making a killing selling "Operation Chaos" t-shirts.

Since you seem to know so much about Rush's business, why don't you tell us how many Operation Chaos t-shirts he has sold?

Another one posting the liberal mantra. He does well no matter what party is in charge and you should know that. You casn find out the number of listeners and stations by year from lots of places. Try Google. I hope you’ve heard of that. The, “Rush is just an entertainer” was started by liberals to downplay his strength. I can’t believe some of you guys. Don’t you ever listen to him?

...that wasn’t Rush that got them elected.

I guess your memory fails you from remembering 1994 when the freshman class of congressmen gave credit to Rush.
