I gave him the benefit of the doubt last week when he danced around this question with Moyers. No more. Heres his clarification, making it very clear that he meant just what his critics thought he meant, that one shouldnt take the Messiahs not-so-high dudgeon over his sermons too seriously since hell say whatever he needs to say to get elected.
Geraghty, among others, thinks hes sinking Obamas campaign. My pessimism makes me skeptical, but Ambinder argues that Wright has Team Barry boxed in: The nuttier he sounds, the fewer options they have except to hope that he eventually comes off as so nutty that no one would seriously think Obama agrees with him. Is a Sistah Souljah moment in the offing? If it is, it means The Speech That Saved America didnt really save America since hell have needed a second take to get it (w)right. Exit question: Is it time to suspend Operation Chaos?
Wright is so convinced that racists America will never elect a black president that he is deliberately undermining the first real contender to be the first black president.
That way, when Obama loses, Wright can claim “See, I told you, Honkey’s too racist.”
he’s running his own operation chaos.
Let me know how Jesus rates your rantings, what with flying in the face of "love your neighbor as yourself" and all.
Jeremiah Wright - The Gift That Keeps On Giving
*********************EXCERPT*************************
Personally I find Rev Jeremiah Wright a sad echo from a sad time in America. He, like so many other aging baby-boomer liberals is living in the glory days of the 60s and 70s. He is trying as hard as he can to stoke the fires of racism in the country - all in the name of Jesus no less. Truly a pathetic sight and a reminder of why the rest of us are glad to be living in a world were racism is just an echo and not a reality. For those still stuck in their own personal quagmires my condolences - but it is not Americas fault.
Jeremiah Wright has found his 15 minutes of fame and he plans to go out with fiery bluster as he impugns the character of one Barack Obama:
he Rev. Jeremiah Wright said Monday that he will try to change national policy by coming after Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) if he is elected president.
The pastor also insisted Obama didnt denounce him and didnt distance himself from Wrights controversial remarks, but did what politicians do.
Reverend Wright ... the gift that keeps giving.
Post-racial America is certainly an interesting place, isn’t it?
Don't tell anyone, but I discovered today that if you play every eighth sentence of Rush's broadcasts backwards, it says "elect Hillary!" That secret decoder ring works great!
I’m working on an accredidation process for my children’s school and recently read over 200 parent surveys and their detailed comments.
One of the questions on the survey was “how is this school doing with their ‘sensitivity to racial diversity,’ blah blah. . “
And without exception, every parent either ignored it or commented that they didn’t give a flying leap and are sick to death of questions like this.
I live in the Bay Area of California; I was heartened by this—maybe there is hope for our nation after all!
That last quote you listed is just horrifying!
Google ‘falling man’,,,, and you will see a man who Obama Husseins spiritual advisor said deserved this fate due to a United States that should be damned, not blessed, by God.
Follow the link at the top of my prior post to read a lot more about what this 'religion" is actually all about. It is a sick perversion.
No, Ellen Tauscher’s. . .almost as bad as Pelosi but not quite.
That's for sure. And we would all like to find out how God rates your breaking of the Third Commandment - Thou shall not use the name of God in vain," when you, Wright, said "G.D. America." How will God react to your blasphemy. That is NOT what preachers are supposed to be teaching. Racist remarks will pale compared to your blasphemous behavior and speaches. God will not judge you by your deeds, anyone can do good deeds. God judges people by what is in their heart and the blackness of their soul. Not raceist "blackness," but the evil, hate-inciting, hurtful, riot-enticing blackness you have been holding and spreading.
You might have convinced your congregation to keep you in designer clothing, and pay you enough to buy yourself a million dollar home. You might have convinced them to drop their hard earned pennies into your collection and keep you supported in a way to which you became accustomed. But, at the Gates of Heaven, there will be no bargining with God and no mansion waiting for you. There might not even a place at all in Heaven for you. Will you blame God, and say he is a murderer to His face like you did in your speech?
