I admit to being an elitist, but putting down religion like that goes far beyond plain old elitism.

The attitude itself is bad enough, but the fact that Obama would actually say it shows clearly that he is far from the polished and invincible candidate many seem to believe. Hillary is far too experienced a politician to say something that stupid, and that's why she might in fact be a stronger general election candidate than Obama. Perhaps luckily, it looks like we'll still face Obama.

Are you really an elitist, as most people instinctively understand an elitist to be?

Do you think, for the most part, that most people are unable to manage their own lives, and that you or people of the same caliber as you can and should manage their lives?

I'm guessing probably not. But this is exactly what defines a leftist elitist.
